This past weekend Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to Dedham, Massachusetts for NCW Ring of Thrones Weekend to crown new #1 Contenders for the NCW Heavyweight Championship at WrestleFest XV. A big thanks to all our fans who came out to support us as we  head towards the end of the 2019 Season!

NCW Ring of Thrones Night One

– “The American Hammer” Dan Terry & “Insane” Dick Lane won the Ring of Thrones Last Chance Battle Royal when Lane and his wifey Delilah Hayden believed THEY won the tournament, only to have Terry slide into the ring (he never officially entered the match) and toss out Hayden. This made Terry and Lane the final team to be entered into the tournament.

– The Lumberjake & Bullet Joe defeated “The Angel of Anarchy” Tim Kilgore & Trigga the OG in a Ring of Thrones Quarterfinal Match to advance on to the Semifinals when Joe splashed Kilgore off of Lumberjake’s shoulders to get the win.

–  In a Quarterfinal Tournament Match “The Ace” Mike Montero & “The Heavy Hitter” Shay Cash w/ Kevin Castro d. “The American Hammer” Dan Terry & “Insane” Dick Lane w/ Steve Weiner when Terry assaulted his own partner with ‘the American Hammer’ allowing Montero to take the easy victory.

With Dick Lane still down the NCW Heavyweight Champion Brett Ryan Gosselin arrived at ringside, continuing Dick Lane’s very bad day by attacking Lane while he was down. NCW President Dean “The Beast” Livsley came out to stop the assualt, but BRG then stated that he still had a valid contract to wrestle Dick Lane from NCW Friday the 13th, and wanted to wrestle “The Meta-Human Super-Villain” right here and now. Dean protested, but Lane agreed to fight.

– NCW Heavyweight Champion Brett Ryan Gosselin defeated “Insane” Dick Lane to retain his NCW Championship after taking advantage of a weary and exhausted Lane.

– “The Platinum Queen” Angel Sinclair d. “The Suplex Sweetheart” Isana with a tornado DDT absolutely dominating the 2018 Breakout Star of the Year on behalf of her dear friend “Picture Perfect” Sierra, even attacking her after the match was over with.

– Ricky Medeiros & “Iron” Rip Byson and Perry Von Vicious & Jason Devine went to a No Contest in the Ring of Thrones Quarterfinal Match when both teams could not stick together long enough without Detox and Mutually Assured Destruction beating the hell out of each other. A frustrated Livsley returned to ringside to ensure the tournament didn’t go down like this, so Dean switched things up by making the Quarterfinal Match Detox VS. M.A.D.! Dean sweetened the pot for Detox by also making the match an NCW Tag Team Championship Match at the suggestion of PVV and Byson.

– Detox defeated Mutually Assured Destruction to advance into the Semifinals of the Ring of Thrones Tournament and win the NCW Tag Team Championship when Mike Montero snuck into the ring pretending to be Ricky Medeiros and cradled Byson to steal the win and the titles.

Following the match The Dirt City Murder Crew continued to assault M.A.D. with the trio taking pleasure in destroying and hurting “Iron” Rip Byson.

– In the final Quarterfinal Round Match in the Ring of Thrones Tournament “Deliciously Vicious” Vern Vicallo & Osirus w/ Doc Ozone defeated “RIOT” Kellan Thomas & “Foxy” Calvin Campbell w/ Doc Ozone in a great back and forth match between all four men who had great respect for one another.

Ring of Thrones Night Two

– “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, “Foxy” Calvin Campbell (w/ Doc Ozone), Perry Von Vicious, & “Insane” Dick Lane w/ Steve Weiner & Delilah Hayden d. “The American Hammer” Dan Terry, Doctor Reginald Heresy, “The Angel of Anarchy” Tim Kilgore, & Steven Lust in an 8 Man Tag Team Match when Lane pinned Lust.

Following the match the injured and not cleared for action Derek Simonetti endorsed his friend Dick while tearing down “The American Hammer”, promising that even though he couldn’t take Dan down “The Meta-Human Super-Villain” would come WrestleFest.

– “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy and Alexander Lee went to a No Contest when the two couldn’t stop attacking one another, leading to NCW President Dean “The Beast” Livsley making the match a No DQ Match where anything goes.

– A bloodied Alexander Lee d. “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy after low blowing McCarthy and getting leverage with a handful of tights.

– “Deliciously Vicious” Vern Vicallo & Osirus w/ Doc Ozone d. Detox (Jason Devine & Ricky Medeiros) in the Ring of Thrones Semifinal Match to advance to the Finals.

– In the ROT Semifinals “The Ace” Mike Montero & “The Heavy Hitter” Shay Cash w/ Kevin Castro d. The Lumberjake & Bullet Joe when Frank Champion shockingly showed up at ringside to help his former tag team partner and collect Kevin Castro’s bounty on Lumberjake.

– Robbie “The Giant” Araujo d. NCW Heavyweight Champion Brett Ryan Gosselin with an electric drop roll up in their Non Title Match in a huge upset. Following the match the irate NCW Champion blasted Robbie “The Giant” with a steel chair that was still at ringside from the Lee/McCarthy match.

– In the Ring of Thrones Finals, Vern Vicallo & Osirus w/ Doc Ozone defeated “The Ace” Mike Montero & “The Heavy Hitter” Shay Cash w/ Kevin Castro to become the #1 Contenders to the NCW Heavyweight Championship.
