NCW Ring of Thrones: The Tournaments

Friday night June 24th and Saturday night June 25th Northeast Championship Wrestling in conjunction with the Council of Professional Wrestling, Arts, and Sciences presents the NCW Ring of Thrones, a huge two night event featuring 24 men competing in a single elimination tournament as well a tag team elimination tournament.

While some qualified for the Ring of Thrones singles tournament at the 19 Year REUNION in Norwood last month, the council carefully deliberated in the time since looking to fill up the remaining spots in the tournament after consulting with a wide range of experts. After input from Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley, NCW founder JC Marxxx, and various other NCW officials (including President hopeful Rich Bass) the brackets have finally been set for both the singles and tag team tournaments.

RING OF THRONES SINGLES TOURNAMENT

SINGLES BRACKETS

After a successful title defense at REUNION NCW Heavyweight Champion The Lumberjake will lead the singles bracket in the Ring of Thrones, going up against former NCW New England Champion “Sensational” Scott Levesque after Levesque stole the spot after defeating “The Native American” Tomahawk at REUNION.

CARTEL

Former NCW Tag Team and New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva will participate in the singles tourney, facing off with NCW’s first (and only) Triple Crown Winner Alexander Lee.

After defeating Tyler Nitro at REUNION to qualify for the tournament, “The Selfie-Made Man” Vern Vicallo will go one on one with the New Hampshire native and surprise entrant Bryce Clayton in the Quarterfinals.

In the last Quarterfinal Round Match the Ox Baker Memorial Cup Winner “All Good” Anthony Greene (w/ Ashley Mason) will compete against the REUNION Rumble winner and wild card entrant Curry Boy!

RING OF THRONES TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT

TAG BRACKETS

After winning the Tag Team Invitational Gauntlet at REUNION to become the #1 Seed in the Ring of Thrones tag tournament, The Heavy Hitters (Frank Champion & Shay Cash) go up against one of their biggest challenges ever when the four-time former NCW Heavyweight Champion Triplelicious (the man they pinned at REUNION) teams with his old rival and partner “Ruthless” Ruy Batello in the wake of his split with Bryce Clayton as this iteration of Zero Tolerance unites for the first time since 2003.

zero tolerance

After seeing his opportunity in the Ring of Thrones singles tournament stolen away from him thanks to the antics of The High Class Cartel, “The Native American” Tomahawk has looked beyond his native homeland to find a surprising partner in Zachary Pierre Beaulieu, together known as The Aristocrats! They will square off against The Cartel’s youngest and brightest recruits DJ AC and Sammy Deléon in a very personal battle.

Speaking of personal, moments before “RIOT” Kellan Thomas was about to make a very personal announcement to the NCW fans at REUNION, the former NCW Heavyweight Champion was blindsided and attacked by The Maine State Posse (Aggro and Danger) at the behest of their leader Alexander Lee. With Thomas battling many demons since losing the Heavyweight Championship because of Anthony Greene’s actions last Season, an old friend has decided to step in June 24th at Ring of Thrones to help “RIOT” when “Impact” William Thorne returns home to reunite Destruction Under Impact  one more time against this new and dangerous Maine State Posse.

The NCW Tag Team Champions CrossFit (“The Prettiest Man” Derek Andrews and “The Fittest Man” Dan Terry) are riding high after their successful title defense at REUNION against The Halftime Show and will look to continue that momentum in the last Quarterfinal Round Match at the Ring of Thrones when they go up against Turtles in Time, the unlikely duo of “Insane” Dick Lane and Steve “The Turtle” Weiner along with their new manager (and #1 Dick Lane Superfan) Delilah Hayden.
