PRESS RELEASE: The Finale of NCW’s 2012 Season November 30th in Norwood

NORWOOD- On Friday night November 30th Northeast Championship Wrestling presents our final event of the 2012 wrestling season when we return to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA [150 Winslow Avenue] for WrestleFest VIII. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, NCW presents a unique night of entertainment for fans wherever we go, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

In the night’s highly anticipated Main Event, the two time NCW Heavyweight Champion Michael “Buddy” Romano defends his coveted championship against former champion and current #1 contender “The Juice” JT Dunn in an I Quit Match live in Norwood. These two men began their rivalry back in April when Dunn defeated Romano in the finals of the REUNION Championship Tournament where the vacant Heavyweight Title was on the line. Shortly after Romano regained the title thanks to help from his cronies in Zero Tolerance, keeping a stranglehold on the championship while keeping his distance from an enraged Dunn. At WrestleFest they will settle all their differences under I Quit rules, guaranteeing one man will walk out the Heavyweight Champion while the other is carried out the loser.

November 30th will also see Brockton native and long reigning New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva put up or shut up when he takes on his “protégé” Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match with Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley being put in the ring as the special guest referee. For the last year Perry had gone undercover as a mole for “The Beast”, becoming Paiva’s protégé in Zero Tolerance. After three years plus with the championship “The Original Showoff’s” time as champion may be drawing to a close, with the conniving Paiva having nowhere left to hide.

Three of the most prolific tag teams in NCW history will square off in a Triple Threat Match November 30th at WrestleFest when NCW Tag Team Champions the Big Lovable Team of Ruy Batello and the Lumberjake go defend their titles against the Super Rad (“Dynamite” Doug Summers & Steve “The Turtle” Weiner) and the duo of Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner under elimination rules, with only one team left standing when all is said and done.

Also in Norwood we will see “RIOT” Kellan Thomas in action against Maine’s own Scotty “By GOD” Vegas, “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed, “The REFolution” Anthony Greene, Rob “The Giant” Araujo, Eddie Loomis, David Loomis, “Simply the Best” GA West, “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople, and many more!

The Norwood Elks Lodge is located at 150 Winslow Avenue in Norwood, MA directly off Rt. 1A. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:30pm start time for the wrestling action. Tickets are only $10 at the door for adults, and only $5 for kids twelve and under. The Final Countdown Results

Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Knights of Columbus Hall in Foxboro, MA this past Saturday night for the Final Countdown to WrestleFest VIII. Many developments took shape as NCW prepared for its final event of the 2012 Season.

Venue:  Foxboro Knights of Columbus Hall
Ring Announcer: Gary Low
Referees: Redd Roche & “Mr. Clean” Kevin Quinn

“The Unequaled One” Todd Sople d. “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed in the night’s opener, with Sople rocking out with the Foxboro faithful.

“Jiving” Jimmy Capone d. Joey Rage with a sit-out power bomb.

– NCW Tag Team Champions the BLT (Ruy Batello & the Lumberjake) defeated Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner with the C3 [Cold Cut Combo] to retain the titles in their first of two title defenses.

– #1 Contender “The Juice” JT Dunn came out to the ring to discuss his upcoming Championship Match with Buddy Romano November 30th at WrestleFest VIII, but was quickly interrupted by JC Marxxx. Marxxx began running down Dunn’s history in NCW, dating back to his first appearance at the 2009 Big City Rumble. JC believed that no matter how good JT had become, Buddy Romano was that much better. Dunn was then able to coax Marxxx into signing WrestleFest to become an I Quit Match for the Heavyweight Championship much to Foxboro’s delight. Sick of the politics of Dunn and Commissioner Livsley, JC then offered to put his career on the line to shut Dunn up once and for all. “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger then returned from his 30 day suspension, looking to regain some footing after his attack on Anthony Greene back in September.

– “The Juice” JT Dunn d. “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger w/ Alex Creed via submission after knocking the returning Krueger out in a hard fought match.

– NCW Tag Team Champions the BLT and the Super Rad (“Dynamite” Doug Summers & Steve “The Turtle” Weiner) went to a No Contest when Pacifico & Rezner returned to the ring, laying out both teams. The real shocker was before the 2nd Tag Team Championship Match, when “Dynamite” Doug Summers blindsided the Lumberjake while giving the BLT a congratulatory speech. Summers encouraged Weiner to assist him in the mugging, shaking “The Turtle”.

– An intense David Marxxx-Loomis came out to the ring, calling out his younger brother Eddie Loomis. David began berating Eddie, calling him a loser far too concerned with winning the fan’s hearts rather than winning matches. David then challenged Eddie to a match at WrestleFest, trying to prompt the younger Loomis into finally putting up a fight worth while. An unsuspecting David then walked right into a bicycle kick courtesy of his little brother.

Scotty “By GOD” Vegas d. “The Celtic” Conner Murphy after using Murphy’s shillelagh while referee Quinn placed Vegas’ flotation device outside of the ring.

Zero Tolerance (NCW Champion Buddy Romano, New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva, & David Marxxx-Loomis) w/ JC Marxxx d. “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, Rob the Giant, & Eddie Loomis in the 6 Man Final Countdown Match when Romano forced Eddie Loomis to tap out to the ‘Texas Cloverleaf’.

PRESS RELEASE: The Final Countdown Comes to Foxboro November 10th

FOXBORO- On Saturday night November 10th Northeast Championship Wrestling prepares for the end of our 2012 wrestling season when we return to the Knights of Columbus Hall in Foxboro, MA [14 Church Street] for the Final Countdown to NCW’s WrestleFest VIII. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, NCW presents a unique night of entertainment for fans wherever we go, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

On November 30th in Norwood, MA the Heavyweight Champion Michael “Buddy” Romano will defend his championship against #1 contender “The Juice” JT Dunn in one of the most anticipated title matches in NCW history, but before then both men will engage in a war of attrition in Foxboro when they collide in the Final Countdown, a four on four battle where only one team can survive. Romano has enlisted the help of Zero Tolerance partners David Loomis and “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva to join his team, while Paiva has recruited the massive rookie Abel James to round out the fearsome foursome. With the stakes of WrestleFest VIII riding high on the mind of the former NCW Champion, Dunn has brought fan favorites Rob “The Giant” Araujo, “The Insider” Kevin Perry, and Eddie Loomis onto Team Juicy to help ensure victory in Foxboro. In this four on four matchup, a simple coin toss will determine which team gains the advantage when one competitor from each group enters following two minute intervals. Once all eight men have entered, only then can the match end via pin-fall or submission.

Also at the Final Countdown we will determine the challengers for the NCW Tag Team Championship when the Super Rad duo of “Dynamite” Doug Summers and Steve “The Turtle” Weiner take on the psychotic tandem of Big Bully Rezner and his mentor the deranged Pacifico. Both teams nearly walked away with the titles during the Tag Team Gauntlet Match at NCW NO FEAR, but in the end it was the Big Lovable Team of “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello and the Lumberjake who won the vacated championship. The winners of this #1 Contender’s Match will go onto WrestleFest where they will attempt to unseat the BLT for tag team supremacy.

Also appearing November 10th in Foxboro will be “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, “The Celtic” Conner Murphy, “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger, “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed, “Simply the Best” GA West, Scotty “By GOD” Vegas, “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople, and many more.

The Knights of Columbus Hall is located at 14 Church Street in Foxboro, Massachusetts directly off Rt. 140. Doors open at 7pm with a 7:30 bell time. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 (adults) and $5 for kids twelve and under. NCW NO FEAR 2012 Results

Venue: The West Warwick Elks Lodge
Ring Announcer: Gary Low
Referees: Redd Roche, Dan Tanaka, & Kevin Quinn

David Marxxx-Loomis (without his adopted father JC Marxxx) d. Dale Denile in Denile’s first NCW appearance since being ousted from the Schillar Park Posse in 2010 by his former partner “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger.

– One half of the NCW Tag Team Champions “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople came out to the ring, willingly forfeiting the NCW Tag Team Championship after he announced that his partner Gunar Rowe was injured and in need of surgery. After handing the titles to Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley, Sople issued an open challenge to anyone in the back.

Rob the Giant d. “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople in a great match-up that saw both men give their all. Following the match, Giant offered a handshake to Sople, which he reluctantly accepted.

“The REFolution” Anthony Greene d. “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed in a huge upset, as the former NCW official continues to make waves in the ring as a competitor thanks to training from his brochacho “The Juice” JT Dunn.

“The Insider” Kevin Perry w/ Rob the Giant d. NCW New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva w/ JC Marxxx via disqualification when Paiva knocked out referee Redd Roche in a cheap attempt to throw out the match. Paiva had already attempted to walk out on the match to retain by count out, only to be thwarted by Livsley who tossed Paiva back in. With nowhere left to turn, Paiva decked Roche.

– Following the match Dean announced that on November 30th at NCW WrestleFest VIII Paiva would have to defend the New England Championship against Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match that would also feature Livsley himself as the special enforcer referee.

“The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello (as the Lumberjake) and the Lumberjake (as Ruy Batello) won the NCW NO FEAR Costume Battle Royal after deciding they didn’t want to fight one another. Other participants included;

  • Weiner the Pooh
  • “RIOT” Kepler Thomas
  • AG Creed
  • John “The Turtle” Munroe
  • Mean Street Greene
  • Mike the Fan
  • Mike Paiva’s personal associate Abel James

“The Hampton Beach Badass” Hunter Ward d. “Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone & “RIOT” Kellan Thomas in a Triple Threat Match.

– NCW Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano w/ JC Marxxx d. Eddie Loomis in what was believed to be a Pick Your Poison Match. Following the victory however “The Juice” JT Dunn came out and told Romano that Eddie wasn’t his chosen opponent, but rather a former NCW New England Champion in the form of “The Celtic” Conner Murphy (formerly known as Paul Hudson)!

– “The Celtic” Conner Murphy d. Buddy Romano in a huge upset after Dunn distracted the NCW Champion. A disgruntled Romano then announced his challenger for Dunn, the dastardly Scotty Slade!

– Scotty Slade d. “The Juice” JT Dunn in the Pick Your Poison Challenge after a low blow from Slade.

The BLT d. Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner in the Tag Team Gauntlet to win the vacated NCW Tag Team Championship.

  1. The Super Rad d. Triplelicious & “The Barrington Bulldozer” John Munroe
  2. Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner d. The Super Rad after Pacifico finished off Steve “The Turtle” Weiner while Doug Summers was celebrating his victory over Trip & Munroe.
  3. The BLT d. Pacifico & Rezner to win the Championship.

– NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley kicked off the night, welcoming all the fans to NCW’s debut show at the Norwood Elks Lodge. He then hyped the action for the night, where the Total Elimination tournament would crown a new #1 contender to face Buddy Romano November 30th at NCW WrestleFest VIII for Romano’s NCW Heavyweight Championship.

“The Juice” JT Dunn & “The RIOT” Kellan Thomas d. Pacifico & Too Shay in a 1st round tournament match, after Pacifico shoved his partner Too Shay off the apron, giving Thomas the perfect opportunity to finish off the Snake Hill psychopath.

“The Unequaled One” Todd Sople & “Dynamite” Doug Summers d. the Lumberjake & Big Bully Rezner
to advance into the Semifinals after Lumberjake prevented Big Bully Rezner from using Gordon as a weapon, allowing Sople & Summers to double team Lumberjake for the win.

“The Heater” Kevin Perry w/ Mike Paiva d. Anthony Greene & Hunter Ward. Before the beginning of the match, Perry’s tag team partner Rob the Giant was nowhere to be found. Despite this, Commissioner Livsley demanded that Kevin wrestle two on one against Hunter Ward and the referee turned wrestler AG. Focusing on the less experienced Greene, Perry took advantage and then used Mike Paiva to leverage a tainted victory over the popular Ward.

“The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello & “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva d. Eddie & David Loomis
after Batello crushed Eddie Loomis with a massive splash. A disgusted David Marxxx-Loomis stormed off after the loss, while “The Portuguese Sensation” gave his tag team partner a ‘ruination’ for his troubles.

“Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone & Mark Moment d. Steve “The Turtle” Weiner w/ Doug Summers in a No Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere Match after West originally challenged Doug Summers to a brawl. Summers, already competing in the tournament told West he had nothing to prove, and nothing he could say would change his mind. Weiner came out to defend the honor of his BFF, prompting “Simply the Best” to take his frustrations out on “The Turtle”. In the end it was Summers own inadvertent distraction which allowed Weiner to be pinned by West.

– “The Juice” JT Dunn & “The RIOT” Kellan Thomas d. Todd Sople & Doug Summers to advance to the Finals. Following the match, a knocked out Doug Summers was carried out by head of security John Balis, referee Joe Blazer, and Steve “The Turtle”.

– Ruy Batello & Mike Paiva d. “The Heater” Kevin Perry & Rob the Giant after Perry laid down for his mentor in the middle of the ring. As Paiva celebrated, handing off his New England Championship belt to Perry, a video began playing on the monitor, showing footage from October 29th, 2011, the night Perry turned on his best friend in Brockton, MA. The footage quickly revealed that Dean “The Beast” Livsley asked Kevin to turn on Robbie, and join Zero Tolerance as a mole for him for the last year. A shocked Paiva turned around only to get walloped by Perry, showing his true colors! Giant & Perry then reunited, while “The Beast” got in on the action as well by splashing the broken New England Champion.

Scotty “By GOD” Vegas won the Last Chance Battle Royal, eliminating Anthony Greene to win.

– “The Juice” JT Dunn d. Scotty Vegas to become the #1 contender for the NCW Heavyweight Championship in an amazing battle by all five men. After kicking out of everything “The Juice” threw in his way, Vegas was finally put away after a tiger driver/knock out combo to earn his Title Match against Buddy Romano at WrestleFest.

  1. Ruy Batello d. Mike Paiva w/ ‘ruination’
  2. Scotty Vegas d. Ruy Batello with his running knee driver
  3. Scotty Vegas d. Kellan Thomas
  4. JT Dunn pinned Vegas with the ‘KO’

NCW SHOWCASE FALLOUT

“The Maniacal” Jack Krueger was suspended by Dean “The Beast” Livsley following the events of NCW FALLOUT, where he blindsided and attacked NCW Official Anthony Greene with a steel chair after the event. Krueger and AG have been involved in a heated rivalry since July, when at Summer Meltdown “The Maniacal” Krueger challenged the referee to step into the ring and wrestle him after Alex Creed lost his match to “The Juice” JT Dunn.

Since then Krueger has stalked both AG and his mentor Dunn, showing up at every turn to cause trouble for the duo. Has Krueger gone too far in his war with the referee turned wrestler?

Steve “The Turtle” Weiner celebrated his 29th birthday on September 21st, challenging the NCW Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano for the Heavyweight Title. While Weiner gave everything he had and nearly walked out of Riverside, RI the NCW Champion in the end Romano would find a way to retain the gold. Defeated but not beaten, Weiner, JT Dunn, and the entire NCW locker room closed out the night with a rousing rendition of Journey’s ‘Lights’.

“The Juice” JT Dunn helps hype up our new domain on the web, TheNCW.com, but Ruy Batello & the Lumberjake make an awful discovery… We’re not ‘online’ anymore.

NCW Total Elimination Preview

Steve “The Turtle” Weiner vs. “Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone

Feeling screwed and unappreciated by NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley, GA West hasn’t been seen since the Big City Rumble in August where he was eliminated by “The Turtle” with a ‘kingdom hearts’ over the top rope, thwarting West’s plans to become the #1 contender for the NCW Championship. Oddly enough GA doesn’t directly blame Weiner for the incident, but rather “Dynamite” Doug Summers, Steve’s best friend. “Simply the Best” and Doc Ozone feel that Summers purposely stuffed Weiner’s shell with illegal objects, giving Weiner an unfair advantage.

West called out Summers for TOTAL ELIMINATION, but with no response it was actually Steve himself who answered the challenge, accepting the match on Doug’s behalf. Despite coming up short against Romano in Riverside, “The Turtle” is still riding high after an emotional birthday celebration and believes he’ll be able to shell up and shut West’s mouth once and for all.

NCW Total Elimination Tournament
Winner becomes the #1 Contender to the NCW Heavyweight Championship

In the style of a lethal lottery tournament, NCW TOTAL ELIMINATION will feature elimination round tag team matches, with partners being randomly paired together by NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley and the NCW Championship Committee. The two winning teams will then move onto the Total Elimination Finals, which will be a five man free-for-all until one man remains. The fifth entrant in the #1 contenders match will be decided by a last chance battle royal also to be held that night in Norwood.

The winner of the match will then become the #1 contender to the NCW Heavyweight Championship, and will wrestle Buddy Romano for the NCW title November 30th at NCW WrestleFest VIII.

Total Elimination 1st Round Match
David Marxxx-Loomis & Eddie Loomis vs.
“The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva & “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello

In the only announced match so far of in the TOTAL ELIMINATION tournament by Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley has quickly become one of the most anticipated matches in NCW history when longtime rivals Ruy Batello and “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva team up to take on the brotherly duo of Eddie and David Loomis.

Paiva and Batello’s history has been well documented, and the decision to pair these two has left many wondering what will happen when these two are forced to compete on the same side when NCW debuts in Norwood this Friday night. Can the two co-exist long enough to make it to the Finals? As for the Loomis Brothers, JC Marxxx ensured that the sibling rivalry between David and Eddie would continue heading into TOTAL ELIMINATION after Marxxx forced his adopted son to compete against Eddie at FALLOUT. While David has vowed to side with Zero Tolerance heading into the end of the 2012 Season, it is curious that two ZT members will be forced to square off at the Elks Lodge as well.

Other participants in TOTAL ELIMINATION will be “The RIOT” Kellan Thomas, Rob the Giant, the Lumberjake, Hunter Ward, “The Juice” JT Dunn, “The Heater” Kevin Perry, “Dynamite” Doug Summers, Pacifico, Big Bully Rezner, “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed, Scotty “By GOD” Vegas, and co-holder of the NCW Tag Team Champions “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople.

As always card is subject to change.

NCW FALLOUT Results from Riverside

Venue: Riverside American Legion
Ring Announcer: Gary Low
Referees: Dan Tanaka, Redd Roche, & Mark Quinn

For exclusive pictures from NCW FALLOUT check out the gallery here from Picture Dave!

– NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley kicked off NCW FALLOUT, celebrating the birthday of the 2012 Big City Rumble winner Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, as Weiner prepared to challenge Buddy Romano for the NCW Heavyweight Championship. Livsley was then interrupted by JC Marxxx and David Marxxx-Loomis. JC wanted to ensure that his adopted son would continue to back up Zero Tolerance, especially after the tumultuous past few months between Loomis and Romano. David agreed to back ZT, on the condition that he gets to become Heavyweight Champion again, not Buddy. Marxxx relented, but only if David defeated his little brother Eddie Loomis tonight in Riverside.

– David Marxxx-Loomis w/ JC Marxxx d. Eddie Loomis, though at several points during the match, David hesitated against his younger brother before finally putting him away.

The BLT (Big Lovable Team) of “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello & Lumberjake d. Christopher James & Michael Tootsie Esquire in tag team action, defeating them with the ‘cold cut combo’, an in-stereo ‘ruination’/’log ride’ combo.

“The Heater” Kevin Perry w/ Mike Paiva d. Rob the Giant to become the #1 contender for the NCW New England Championship. Before their scheduled Triple Threat Match for the NE Championship, “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva decided that he would not participate the in 2 on 1 beatdown on the Giant, feeling it was an unfair fight. Livsley then came out to ringside and told Paiva that if he wasn’t wrestling tonight then the match would then become a #1 contenders match.

“The Juice” JT Dunn & Anthony “AG” Greene defeated “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed when Dunn knocked Creed out cold, and forced him to submit while AG prevented Krueger from making the save.

“Dynamite” Doug Summers d. Too Shay with the ‘beautiful disaster’ in brutal fashion, after a dejected Summers talked about how his best friend was wrestling for the Heavyweight Championship, and he was definitely not bitter by having to wrestle right after intermission. Despite his insistence, Doug took his frustrations out on Shay and despite Shay’s best efforts “Dynamite” was victorious.

“The RIOT” Kellan Thomas d. Scotty “By GOD” Vegas in a hard fought match which saw both men brawl all over the Riverside Legion Hall. Following the match an enraged Vegas promised that this wasn’t over with.

– One half of the NCW Tag Team Champions “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople & his interim partner Pacifico d. Triplelicious & “The Barrington Bulldozer” John Munroe after Dean “The Beast” Livsley forced Sople to defend his championship even with partner Gunar Rowe was unable to appear. Sople picked up the victory after blind-tagging into the ring, and blindsiding an unknowing Triplelicious.

– NCW Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano w/ JC Marxxx d. Steve “The Turtle” Weiner w/ “Dynamite” Doug Summers to retain the Heavyweight Championship, hitting his own version of ‘kingdom hearts’ on Weiner. Romano almost lost the Championship twice after official Dan Tanaka was knocked out from an errant splash by “Turtle”. Summers then went to assist his partner (we think), hitting Romano with a foreign object. After Weiner hit ‘kingdom hearts’ on Buddy, Livsley called out “The Juice” JT Dunn as the referee, going back to when Livsley deputized Dunn back in July at Summer Meltdown. Dunn nearly counted the three only for Romano to barely get his shoulder up. “Turtle” then hit a second ‘kingdom hearts’, which seemed to keep Romano down save for a foot barely making the ropes as Dunn counted three. While JT missed the foot, on the outside Tanaka didn’t. As Steve began celebrating with the championship Tanaka returned to the ring to restart the match. Buddy then threw Weiner right into Dunn, allowing him to hit Weiner’s own move on him for the tainted win.

Following the show, JT and the entire NCW locker room sang Steve Happy Birthday, with Steve following it up himself with a rousing rendition of Journey’s “Lights”.
