PRESS RELEASE: The Finale of NCW’s 2012 Season November 30th in Norwood

NORWOOD- On Friday night November 30th Northeast Championship Wrestling presents our final event of the 2012 wrestling season when we return to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA [150 Winslow Avenue] for WrestleFest VIII. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, NCW presents a unique night of entertainment for fans wherever we go, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

In the night’s highly anticipated Main Event, the two time NCW Heavyweight Champion Michael “Buddy” Romano defends his coveted championship against former champion and current #1 contender “The Juice” JT Dunn in an I Quit Match live in Norwood. These two men began their rivalry back in April when Dunn defeated Romano in the finals of the REUNION Championship Tournament where the vacant Heavyweight Title was on the line. Shortly after Romano regained the title thanks to help from his cronies in Zero Tolerance, keeping a stranglehold on the championship while keeping his distance from an enraged Dunn. At WrestleFest they will settle all their differences under I Quit rules, guaranteeing one man will walk out the Heavyweight Champion while the other is carried out the loser.

November 30th will also see Brockton native and long reigning New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva put up or shut up when he takes on his “protégé” Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match with Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley being put in the ring as the special guest referee. For the last year Perry had gone undercover as a mole for “The Beast”, becoming Paiva’s protégé in Zero Tolerance. After three years plus with the championship “The Original Showoff’s” time as champion may be drawing to a close, with the conniving Paiva having nowhere left to hide.

Three of the most prolific tag teams in NCW history will square off in a Triple Threat Match November 30th at WrestleFest when NCW Tag Team Champions the Big Lovable Team of Ruy Batello and the Lumberjake go defend their titles against the Super Rad (“Dynamite” Doug Summers & Steve “The Turtle” Weiner) and the duo of Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner under elimination rules, with only one team left standing when all is said and done.

Also in Norwood we will see “RIOT” Kellan Thomas in action against Maine’s own Scotty “By GOD” Vegas, “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed, “The REFolution” Anthony Greene, Rob “The Giant” Araujo, Eddie Loomis, David Loomis, “Simply the Best” GA West, “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople, and many more!

The Norwood Elks Lodge is located at 150 Winslow Avenue in Norwood, MA directly off Rt. 1A. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:30pm start time for the wrestling action. Tickets are only $10 at the door for adults, and only $5 for kids twelve and under.
