DEDHAM, MASSACHUSETTS— On Friday night August 20th after sixteen months away Northeast Championship Wrestling and the 2021 Season return to the Jacob Jones VFW Post (84 Eastern Avenue, Dedham MA) for our first show back with fans welcomed back as NCW presents the 2021 BIG CITY RUMBLE with the guarantee that a new NCW Heavyweight Champion will be crowned in the Big City Rumble Match.
Doors open at 7pm with a 7:30pm bell time, and all tickets for this event are only $10 each which can be purchased online at theNCW.com/tickets or at the door the night of the event. NCW is committed to protecting the wellbeing and safety of our wrestlers, staff, and fans and keeping close eye on the Delta Variant of COVID-19. Masks for this event are not required, however for those who are not vaccinated masks will be available and sanitizer will be provided for all our fans who need it.
Following the announcement that “DELICIOUSLY VICIOUS” VERN VICALLO was stripped of the NCW Heavyweight Championship due to an injury caused by “THE VICTORIOUS” BRG officials announced that a new Heavyweight Champion would be crowned August 20th in Dedham with all NCW stars welcome to step into the ring and outlast thirty other competitors to become the rightful Champion of NCW. Following NCW’s DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’ iPPV we also know that BRG will have to enter the Rumble as Entrant #1 while “THE NATURAL” CHANNING THOMAS is slated to enter As the final entrant into the over-the-top collision after beating Gosselin in their Empty Arena Match. Who will walk away Champ? With so many looking for their ultimate opportunity to win the title it’s anyone’s game in this year’s Rumble Match—a homage to the WWE and their ROYAL RUMBLE spectacular.
The psychotic and maniacal TIM LENNOX returned during the ‘BEHIND CLOSED DOORS’ era of NCW’s 2021 Season immediately making an impact and staking his claim as one of the most dangerous competitors wrestling today and August 20th Lennox will put that intensity to the test when he steps into the ring with THE LUMBERJAKE after he attempted to rip Jake’s head off during a recent episode of BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. Both men will look for this match as a stepping stone to the Big City Rumble, that is if they survive the match first.
The new NCW Tag Team Champions THE BIG BOYS (CHAZ CASHEW and RICKY SMOKES) will be in action at the Big City Rumble when they defend the Tag Team Championship they just stole against the rightful #1 Contenders to the NCW Tag Team Titles, THE LITTLE GIANTS, the incredible duo of BULLET JOE BARRETO and ROBBIE “THE GIANT” ARAUJO.
The NCW Women’s Champion BECCA will be watching closely in Dedham when NCW hosts a #1 Contenders Gauntlet Match with the winner earning themselves a Championship Match against NCW’s first ever Women’s Champion and the self-proclaimed leader of THE SCRUNCHIE SQUAD—Becca!
