This past Friday Northeast Championship Wrestling kicked off the 2018 Season from the Jacob Jones VFW Post in Dedham, MA, running despite a huge storm hitting the New England coast. A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out despite the awful conditions to support NCW for the 2018 Season premiere.

Before Shane Daly welcomed everyone to NCW 2018, President Dean “The Beast” Livsley, NCW New England Champion Tomahawk, and NCW Heavyweight Champion The Lumberjake were out at ringside thanking the fans for coming to the show despite the weather. As Lumberjake was heading to the back he was attacked by “Slamdance” Tim Lennox from behind the curtain.  Lennox then dragged Jake through the VFW, attacking him and staking claim to his Heavyweight Title.

– In the night’s opener “Foxy” Calvin Campbell and Osirus w/ Doc Ozone defeated The Underground Anarchy (Ike the Bite & “Death Proof” Tim Davidson) w/ Dallas McCarthy as Ozone continued his attempts to get Campbell and the 2017 Wrestler of the Year working on the same page together.

– THE UNCONTROLLED,  aka the former Steve Weiner, defeated Curry Boy as THE UNCONTROLLED used Dick Lane’s power gauntlet to horrific effect, attacking Curry Boy before the bell and using the gauntlet to overpower the normally fun-loving (and spicy) Curry Boy.

Following the match an angry Delilah Hayden came to check on Curry Boy, but it was only after the stalking UNCONTROLLED disappeared from the ring did Dick Lane come out to help Curry Boy to the back.

CrossFit (“The Selfie-Made Man” Vern Vicallo & “DTF” Dan Terry) came out for their next match against Timmy Thunder only to have the 2017 Breakout Star of the Year Channing Thomas Timmy Thunder. He demanded everyone call him Channing Thomas, and that though the lineup said CrossFit vs. Timmy Thunder he went out and got his two pledges.. Timmy AND Thunder to wrestle Terry and Vicallo.

– CrossFit defeated The Middlesex Express (Steven Lust & Steven Broad) after Timmy and Thunder were unmasked as The Steves.

– “The Ace” Mike Montero defeated “RIOT” Kellan Thomas in a great match-up, with “The New Showoff of NCW” picking up the shocking victory over the former NCW Champion.

NCW President Dean “The Beast” Livsley was getting the crowd fired up for the second half, only to have Beau Douglas interrupt and plead his case to the man he once tried to force out of NCW. Douglas apologized, and said he bought a ticket to NCW 2018 to prove to Dean how sorry he was for everything that’s happened over the last two years, and that he’s 100% pro NCW. Douglas then brought out New England rookies Connor Davies and Casey Courageous, using them as examples of NCW’s future. With Beau refusing to leave, security and officials forcibly sent Douglas back to his seat.

NCW New England Champion Tomahawk came out with his Aristocrat tag team partner Zachary Pierre Beaulieu for his New England Title Open Challenge, with two time former New England Champion Rob “The Giant” Araujo AND Channing Thomas Timmy Thunder coming out to stake their claim to the match. Wanting to look out for his tag team partner, ZPB also asked to be involved in the match, which Tomahawk reluctantly agreed to.

– NCW New England Champion “The Native American” Tomahawk d.  Channing Thomas Timmy Thunder, Rob “The Giant” Araujo, and Zachary Pierre Beaulieu in a New England Title Open Challenge when Tomahawk pinned Thomas.

As Tomahawk came back through the curtain a phone call was waiting for him from sometimes rival Perry Von Vicious, who was not in attendance at NCW 2018. PVV then made a most interesting offer to “The Native American.”

 

The High Class Cartel (“High Class” Rich Bass and the NCW Tag Team Champions The Kool People) arrived at ringside for the next match, as Bass promised that despite the war being over The Cartel was stronger than ever. 2018 may find some personnel changes, but that won’t slow down the The Cartel in NCW.

– NCW Tag Team Champions The Kool People (DJ AC & Sammy Deleon) w/ Rich Bass d. “The Heavy Hitter” Shay Cash and his mystery partner “The Dan Ram” Danny Ramirez to retain the NCW Tag Team Titles after a miscommunication between Cash and Ramirez.

Following the match Bobby Rossi attempted to get words from the challengers, with a frustrated Cash blindsiding Ramirez and laying him out post-match.

– NCW Ox Baker Memorial Cup holder Todd Harris defeated “Insane” Dick Lane w/ Delilah Hayden after a low blow from Harris that went undetected by the official. The VFW then went black once again with THE UNCONTROLLED’s creepy video playing over the video screen, freaking out the weary Lane even more.

– NCW Heavyweight Champion The Lumberjake d. “Slamdance” Tim Lennox, delivering giant chokeslams to all the members of The Underground Anarchy, including the blinded Dallas McCarthy following the chaotic brawl.
