The Big City Rumble, our homage to the WWE’s classic Royal Rumble event, has been an integral staple of NCW for the last fourteen years with the 2014 over-the-top battle royal guaranteeing it’s winner an NCW Heavyweight Championship this November at our season finale WrestleFest X. Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley has gone one step further with this year’s Rumble, offering an open invitation to any wrestler in New England to compete making the 2014 Big City Rumble the biggest Rumble in NCW history.
The reigning Heavyweight Champion “RIOT” Kellan Thomas (along with his trusty mascot Kepler) will also have his hands full August 8th in Norwood when he defends his title against “The Devils Reject” Brandon Webb, a former NCW Tag Team Champion with evil intentions who’s returned to NCW after a three-year absence with one goal in mind—total domination.
Plus also appearing at the Norwood Elks will be NCW Tag Team Champions Back to the Fuzion (“The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva & “All Good” Anthony Greene) defending the NCW Tag Team Championship against the Underground Anarchy (Tim Lennox & “Bam” Brandon Behm), “Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone, “Dastardly” Doug Summers, the Lumberjake, “The Maine Event” Scotty Vegas, the Loomis Brothers, Deputy Commissioner Richard Pacifico, “Ruthless” Ruy Batello, the Hard Rock Shellraisers, Mike McCarthy, “The Native American Warrior” Tomahawk, Buddy Romano, and many more!
Competing in a seasonal format NCW presents a unique showcase for fans of professional wrestling, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism, while providing a thrilling experience for fans of all ages. Cameras will also be rolling for @NCWTelevision August 8th, NCW’s exclusive TV show airing on Norwood Public Access Verizon channel 35/Comcast channel 8.
