This past Friday night Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA for a huge night of wrestling action with NCW’s SUMMERS SLAM, headlined by “RIOT” Kellan Thomas wrestling Scotty “Won’t Die” Vegas for the NCW Heavyweight Championship after being voted as the FANS CHOICE  in a landslide victory.

Venue: Norwood Elks Lodge
Ring Announcer: Shane “Sipowicz” Daly

“The Maniacal” Jack Krueger w/ Sean Feeney & Big Bully Rezner d. Rob “The Giant” Araujo.

“The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople d. Dijack w/ MTE after hitting the whammy bar on the impressive Dijack, making his NCW debut.

Two time former Heavyweight Champion Buddy Romano came out to the ring, speaking for the first time since returning to NCW in June. Buddy talked about his past as NCW Champion, as well as his long standing rivalry with Doug Summers. After running down Doug’s business practices Romano then set his sights on Pacifico, who attempted to collect on Summers bounty last month in Bristol. Still standing strong, Romano said it was going to take a lot more than that to finish him off. He was then interrupted by Doc Ozone and his new client “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy, who opted to collect the bounty for themselves if Romano was still standing.

– “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy w/ Doc Ozone d. Buddy Romano via count out after Romano’s injured arm prevented him from making it in before the ten count. Following the match Romano was once again attacked by Pacifico- who once again applied his ‘crossface chickenwing’ on Buddy.

The Inglorious Dastards (“Terrible” Tony Caruso & “The Beast” Brandon Behm) d. David & Eddie Loomis to win the NCW Tag Team Championship after Pacifico returned to the ring, stalking and attacking Eddie Loomis allowing the Dastards to capitalize and win the championship.

“All Good” Anthony Greene d. “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva in their Last Man Standing Match after delivering a devastating piledriver off the top rope onto a table set up in the ring. After their brutal match-up, Greene barely was able to make the ten count, defeating Paiva.

Steve “The Turtle” Weiner & Tomahawk d. Maniacally Twisted (“The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed & the Shadow) w/ Sean Feeney in tag team action, giving a big win to the debuting Tomahawk.

“The Juice” JT Dunn d. NCW New England Champion “Simply God’s Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone in a hard fought match. While Dunn believed he had won the New England title West reminded him that this was not a NE title match and that the championship was not on the line.

The Lumberjake d. “Dastardly” Doug Summers with a devastating choke slam, giving LBJ one of the biggest wins of his young career. Following the match the Dastards attempted to attack Lumberjake, only to be thwarted by Dean Livsley, who laid out “The Beast” with a big splash.

– NCW Heavyweight Champion Scotty “Won’t Die” Vegas d. “RIOT” Kellan Thomas to retain the NCW Championship after Vegas used the ring bell hammer on Thomas behind the referees back. Following the match Kellan and Kepler gained a measure of revenge by knocking the champion down, and celebrating with the NCW Heavyweight Title.

Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Bristol VFW Post after an eleven year absence this past Saturday night for NCW’s Red, White, & Bruised. A big thanks to the VFW, Lou Francis, and their support as we look forward to returning to Bristol in October.

“The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople d. Kevin Perry with the ‘whammy bar’ in a hard-hitting back and forth match up. The former New England Champion showed a surprising mean streak in the match, showing his frustration with losing his New England title back in April.

The Legion of Green(e) (“All Good” Anthony Greene & Steve “The Turtle” Weiner) d. Maniacally Twisted (“The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed & the Shadow) w/ Sean Feeney in tag team action. Following the match “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva arrived out of nowhere, delivering a vicious piledriver to Greene.

– The former NCW Commissioner Dean Livsley came out to the ring, calling out “Dastardly” Doug Summers. Since getting screwed out of his job at NCW’s 16 year REUNION, Dean has remained quiet. But after seeing all the chaos over the last three months it’s time for him to take a stand. Summers finally responded along with his Inglorious Dastards, stating that NCW has never been better with him at the helm. However, if Dean really wanted to get a piece of him he would first have to go through “Terrible” Tony Caruso & “The Beast” Brandon Behm in a gauntlet match and then, and only then would he get the opportunity to wrestle Doug Summers if he survived the onslaught of the Dastards.

Buddy Romano d. Rocco Abruzzi with a DDT, as Abruzzi attempted to take the bounty put forth on Buddy Romano’s head. Following the match Romano was attacked by Pacifico, who laid the former NCW Champion out with a crossface chickenwing incapacitating him.

Rob “The Giant” Araujo d. “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger w/ Sean Feeney.

– “Dastardly” Doug Summers d. Dean Livsley in the Inglorious Gauntlet, after “Terrible” Tony Caruso and “The Beast” Brandon Behm intentionally disqaulified themselves from the match in an effort to punish the former Commissioner. After a valiant comeback, Livsley fell victim to another ‘Beautiful Disaster’ from Summers.

“The Juice” JT Dunn (w/ Mike Graca, recovering from a concussion) came to the ring for his New England Championship Match against “Simply God’s Best” GA West, only to be interrupted by Doc Ozone along with his flunkie Nick Varsity (Vic Victory). Doc O stated that Dunn didn’t deserve to wrestle the New England Champion yet, and instead handpicked Dunn’s opponent for the night– “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy!

– “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy w/ Doc Ozone d. “The Juice” JT Dunn w/ Mike Graca after Ozone and his flunkie Nick Varsity distracted the two time former NCW Heavyweight Champion.

“RIOT” Kellan Thomas w/ Kepler d. “Deathproof” Aaron Epic in a great back and forth.

– NCW Tag Team Champions the Loomis Brothers d. the BLT to retain the NCW Tag Team Championship after David Loomis nailed the Lumberjake with a bicycle kick. Following the match “Dastardly” Doug Summers and his crew of sympathizers arrived on scene, attacking David & Eddie Loomis until Dean Livsley and the BLT returned to even the odds against Summers and his crew. Begrudingly, the Loomis Brothers and BLT shook hands following the match.

“RIOT” Kellan Thomas w/ Kepler d. “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy in sudden death overtime after originally going to a 15 minute time limit with McCarthy. After the two minute warning Thomas missed a top rope suicide moonsault, allowing “The Masshole” to put his grapevine submission on “RIOT’ as the time limit expired. After conferring with officials in the back Bobbi Rossi had the match re-started, allowing Kellan to roll McCarthy up for the win.

– In a surreal experience NCW Commissioner “Dastardly” Doug Summers, “Terrible” Tony Caruso, “The Beast” Brandon Behm, & the returning Buddy Romano were greeted with more cheers than boos when they arrived at the Westerly Armory for Total Elimination, only to see the normally popular Dean Livsley garner a mixed reaction himself as he brought the Loomis Brothers and the BLT out for a confrontation with the Inglorious Dastards. The interview quickly devolved into a pull apart brawl with all the participants of Total Elimination.

“The Juice” JT Dunn & Mike Graca d. “Simply God’s Best” GA West & Vic Victory w/ Doc Ozone in tag team action after West challenged Dunn and Graca to a tag match, with him becoming a protege to his own rookie. Following the match a frustrated GA West also laid out his partner.

Loomis vs. Maniacally Twisted “The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople d. “The World’s Fittest Man” Dan Terry  in the opener, knocking Terry out with his ‘whammy bar’.

The Shadow w/ “Black Magic” Sean Feeney d. the Lumberjake w/ Niki V after Feeney assisted in a distraction on Lumberjake. Following the match “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed then came out to assist in the beat down on Lumberjake. Announcer Tom Warren then bravely entered the ring to get a couple of words with Maniacally Twisted, who still had the Loomis’ Tag Team titles. Maniacally Twisted promised to become the true champions tonight.

Pacifico w/ Big Bully Rezner d. “RIOT” Kellan Thomas w/ Kepler after Bully interefered on Pacifico’s behalf. Originally scheduled to be a tag team match, Kellan’s tag team partner Mike McCarthy did not appear for his match, leaving “RIOT” against both guys.

“All Good” Anthony Greene d. “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva, making him 3-0 against the former NCW New England Champion. A frustrated Paiva attacked Greene following the bell, and landed a vicious piledriver on the 2012 Rookie of the Year. Paiva then took AG’s award, and delivered another piledriver right onto his plaque, shattering the glass. Todd Sople then came out to help AG, and challenged Paiva to a match at NCW’s 16 year REUNION.

El Saguaro d. Steve “The Turtle” Weiner after a low blow behind the referee’s back.

– Tom Warren announced “Dynamite” Doug Summers and NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley for their contract signing, with Summers finally announcing the stipulations for him stepping into the ring at REUNION. In this intense exchange between both men we now know that;

  1. This match will be held under Street Fight rules. No count outs, no disqualifications, and anything goes.
  2. If any wrestler, manager, official, or employee of Northeast Championship Wrestling intervenes in the contest they will be terminated from NCW immediately.
  3. The winner of this match will be named Commissioner of Northeast Championship Wrestling.

Despite his reservations Livsley agreed to all the stipulations, and promised to teach Summers a lesson he’ll never forget April 26 in Norwood.

Contract Signing

“Simply God’s Best” GA West came out for his match, but was soon interrupted by Doc Ozone. Doc O talked about firing GA in Riverside, and said that the manager was bigger than the wrestler and could make anyone into a champion. Ozone then announced his client for the evening– Too Shay!

– Too Shay w/ Doc Ozone d. “Simply God’s Best” GA West in a huge upset after Doc O cost his former charge the match.

Rob the Giant d. “Dynamite” Doug Summers when Dean “The Beast” Livsley restarted the match after Summers used a foreign object on Giant to win originally.

The Loomis Brothers d. Maniacally Twisted w/ Sean Feeney via disqualification when Krueger & Creed used the Tag Team Championship belts as a weapon against David & Eddie Loomis. This brought out the Shadow to help join in the beat down, leading to the Lumberjake coming out for some revenge of his own. The tide quickly turned when Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner arrived on scene to assist in the carnage, but out of nowhere “You’ve Got The Touch” hit the PA and “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello returned after two months on the disabled list to single out “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger and Alex Creed. The rest of the NCW locker room then poured out as referee Redd Roche lost control of the situation, leading to a huge locker room brawl.

This past Friday Northeast Championship Wrestling kicked off its 2013 Season at the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA for COLLISION COURSE, a huge night of wrestling action that saw two title changes, an intense confrontation between NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley and “Dynamite” Doug Summers, and the Heavyweight Champion JT Dunn getting blindsided by Scotty “Won’t Die” Vegas following Dunn’s impressive victory over “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva.

– Before the night’s action began, Ring Announcer Shane “Sipowicz” Daly welcomed his co-host for the evening Scotty Vegas, who was forced to join the announce team at the end of last Season after he attempted to quit NCW. Unwilling to break his contract, Livsley made Vegas fulfill his remaining dates as a ring announcer.

A fighting Lumberjake wanted the match to continue, and put up a valiant fight before becoming overwhelmed with the numbers game.

– Dean “The Beast” Livsley then made his way to the ring, and admonished the new Tag Team Champions for their actions. Since they essentially wrestled a 2 on 1 handicap match against Lumberjake, Livsley then made another Tag Team Championship Match immediately, taking on Davey & Eddie Loomis.

– The Loomis Brothers d. Jack Krueger & Alex Creed to win the NCW Tag Team Championship in dominant fashion, laying out both men with catapult bicycle kicks!

– Following intermission, Dean “The Beast” began going over his State of NCW Address when he was interrupted by “Dynamite” Doug Summers. Summers was furious over Livsley ignoring him, and not talking more about Doug Summers. Dean informed him that he would not be giving Doug any press for what he did to Steve “The Turtle” Weiner at WrestleFest, and he should be ashamed of himself. Doug then blamed Dean for professional jealousy, and started challenging him to a fight. Dean happily accepted, only to have Doug quickly back off. Livsley then promised that there was a whole locker room full of people who were pissed at Summers, and tonight would start with “The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople!

– In a wild Triple Threat Match, “The Hampton Beach Badass” Hunter Ward d. Rob the Giant w/ Kevin Perry & El Saguaro after hitting a inverted suplex on the debuting Saguaro.

– “The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople d. “Dynamite” Doug Summers with the ‘whammy bar’ to pick up the victory.

– “The Juice” JT Dunn knocked out “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva to retain the NCW Heavyweight Championship in a tremendous main event match. As Dunn celebrated his victory, Scotty Vegas came out of nowhere to attack the NCW Champion, laying him out with vicious blows to the head while choking him out. Vegas felt disrespected when Dunn kicked him out of the ring during introductions, forcing his hand into action.

NCW returns to action this Saturday night March 2nd in West Warwick, RI for Silence the Violence XII!

For some exclusive pictures from COLLISION COURSE, please check out Picture Dave’s terrific photography here.

PRESS RELEASE: NCW Returns to West Warwick, RI Saturday March 2nd

stv12WEST WARWICK- On Saturday night March 2nd Northeast Championship Wrestling’s 2013 wrestling season continues when we return to the Elks Lodge in West Warwick, RI [60 Clyde Street] for our annual winter clash Silence the Violence. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, for sixteen years NCW has presented a unique night of entertainment for fans bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

When NCW returns to West Warwick for the first time this Season, we’ll see the Monarchy [“Royalty” William King & Zachary Pierre Beaulieu] step up to challenge the NCW Tag Team Champions at Silence the Violence, presenting a unique challenge for the champions. King, a former New England Champion who embraced his royal roots after being one of NCW’s most popular competitors, has found a regal ally in Zachary Beaulieu, who truly believes he is above the lower class of West Warwick and New England. The challengers, confident in their capabilities in winning gold will square off against whoever wins the Tag Team Championship Match a week earlier in Norwood, MA at COLLISION COURSE. Whoever the champions are, the Monarchy has promised a victory on March 2nd regardless.

West Warwick will also see the egotistical “Dynamite” Doug Summers return to the Elks Lodge, proud of his deceit and duplicity at the expense of his former tag team partner and best friend Steve “The Turtle” Weiner last November. Weiner, reluctant to show his face in NCW since his attack, has allowed NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley to enlist the help of Warren’s own Rob “The Giant” Araujo to teach Summers a lesson in respect, going one on one with the arrogant former Heavyweight Champion at Silence the Violence.

The NCW New England Champion Kevin Perry will also be in action on March 2nd, when he defends his New England title against three other contenders in a Four Corners Match, Perry’s toughest challenge to date.

ALSO appearing in West Warwick will be the brotherly duo of David & Eddie Loomis, the Lumberjake, “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, NCW 2012 Wrestler of the Year “Simply the Best” GA West, “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva, NCW 2012 Rookie of the Year Anthony Greene,  Pacifico, Big Bully Rezner and many more!

A special raffle will also be taking place at Silence the Violence as Northeast Championship Wrestling will be giving away a pair of tickets to WWE’s Road to WrestleMania, which comes to the Dunkin Donuts Center on Saturday night March 16th. How do you enter the raffle? Just by SHOWING UP to NCW Silence the Violence. One NCW ticket purchased automatically enters you into the raffle for WWE, with additional raffle tickets available to purchase.

The West Warwick Elks Lodge is located at 60 Clyde Street in West Warwick, RI. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:40pm start time for the wrestling action to begin.
