After months of speculation from the internet in October 2020 WWE formally announced a group of EVOLVE recruits reporting to the WWE Performance Center– including former NCW Heavyweight Champion “Retro” Anthony Greene! Shortly after AG made his WWE debut taking the moniker of August Grey, making a huge splash on 205 Live as well as NXT in the ‘Thatch-As-Thatch-Can Challenge’ against NXT standout Timothy Thatcher. NCW is incredibly proud of AG after watching him grow from 16 year old referee to WWE superstar. We wish him the best of luck on his new journey in professional wrestling!

Check out WWE’s article regarding the signing of these incredible talents!

From young fan to eager referee to rookie of the year to the “Retrosexual” himself Anthony Greene has been on one incredible journey over the last nine years.

Winning the Combat Zone Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship and signing a WWN contract during WrestleMania weekend were only two of the highlights during AG’s 2019 with the sky the limit for Greene’s next steps.

The evolution of Anthony Greene has been a sight to see, and the current incarnation of AG might be the most dangerous yet. Accompanied by his Platinum Hunnies (Ava Everett & Angel Sinclair) “Retro” Anthony Greene has become the toast of New England (and the world) but NCW has never forgotten the kid’s humble beginnings as referee turned pro wrestler. AG was integral in bringing “Revolution” Chris Venom out of retirement in 2018 after challenging Venom to a match during his NCW Honors celebration when Greene brought his RETRObution Tour through NCW in the fall of 2018.
