Big City Return! NCW Big City Rumble Results

This past Friday night August 20th Northeast Championship Wrestling and the 2021 Season returned to the Jacob Jones VFW Post in Dedham, MA for our first official event welcoming back live fans to the building after the COVID-19 pandemic shut shows down in March 2020. Before a packed house of standing room only the 2021 Big City Rumble Match would decide a new NCW Heavyweight Champion in the night’s main event.

A huge thanks to all the fans who came out to support us for this historic NCW event.

NCW Promoter JC Marxxx welcomed everyone to the 2021 Big City Rumble and thanking the loyal fans for supporting NCW during the pandemic while watching NCW BEHIND CLOSED DOORS on YouTube!

– In the opening match “RIOT” Kellan Thomas defeated Armani Kayos w/ Paris Van Dale to pick up a big victory heading into the Big City Rumble Match.

– in the NCW Women’s Championship #1 Gauntlet Match Little Mean Kathleen d. Paris Van Dale via count out to become the #1 Contender.

1, “The Suplex Sweetheart” Isana defeated Jessie Nolan after hitting the ‘Booby Trap’ followed by two double knees right to Nolan’s skull to keep her down for the three count.

2. Sarah Teller d. Isana in a huge upset after deflecting one of Isana’s suplexes and rolling her up into a small(er) package.

3. Paris Van Dale d. Sarah Teller with a vicious big boot split to eliminate Teller, getting a measure of revenge from NCW BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

4. Little Mean Kathleen defeated PVD via count out when Paris found herself arguing with the fans and as she attempted to get back into the ring LMK knocked her off the apron and prevented Van Dale from beating the clock.

NCW Women’s Champion Becca did not want to wait for her inevitable Championship Match with LMK, and offered to have their title match right then and there booting Kathleen in the face and jumpstarting their match.

– NCW Women’s Champion Becca defeated Little Mean Kathleen to retain her title when she rolled LMK up and used the ropes for leverage to get the three count and dashing Kathleen’s hopes for the Title– and potentially ending The Scrunchie Squad?

Love, Doug and “The Natural Born Thriller” Randy Rivera’s Last Chance Big City Rumble Opportunity Match was cut short when former NCW Champion Trigga the OG showed up to ruin the match, looking to call his shot into the Big City Rumble. When Doug and Rivera attempted to get back into the ring they were interrupted by the shocking appearance of JT Dunn, another former NCW Heavyweight Champion who came out to support his partner in #TheUnit while making it known they were here to take what they believed to be there’s.

JC Marxxx came out and stated that since #TheUnit ruined Doug and Randy’s opportunity he was going to open the floodgates and welcome all four men into the Big City Rumble since Kevin Castro had already wormed his way into the Big City Rumble Match.

– Trigga the OG and JT Dunn defeated Love, Doug and Randy Rivera in tag team action when Dunn pinned Doug after a Death Valley Driver onto Trigga’s knees to give #TheUnit the victory.

NCW New England Champion “The Ace” Mike Montero and Ricky Medeiros came out for Montero’s New England Title Open Challenge, but before he could defer away from defending his title he was interrupted by Alexander Lee, followed by the returning Perry Von Vicious, and then Foxy Calvin Campbell (w/ Doc Ozone) all looking for a shot at Montero’s gold.

They were then interrupted by Dallas McCarthy and The League of Excellence (Dylan Nix, “Flawless” Nick Diamond, & Steven Lust) who all believed they were more worthy of a New England Title opportunity then them. Montero figured the best way to see would be a 6 Man Tag Match, with the man who got the pin getting an opportunity at the gold.

– Alexander Lee, Perry Von Vicious, & Foxy Calvin Campbell w/ Doc Ozone defeated Dylan Nix, Nick Diamond, & Steven Lust w/ Dallas McCarthy when Lee pinned his former protege Nix after Perry Von Vicious powerbombed his tag team partner Campbell onto the remaining participants on the outside!

The Lumberjake d. Tim Lennox in an Anarchy Rules Hardcore Match after chokeslamming Lennox through four chairs in a match that saw the two men brawl all over the Dedham VFW, saw Lennox steal a baby bag filled with Legos (and Pepa Pig), and beat the living hell out of one another heading into the Big City Rumble Match. Blaze Bazuko also made her presence known as the Full Event Champion chased Lennox around with an AXE.

– NCW Tag Team Champions The Big Boys (Chaz Cashew & Ricky Smokes) defeated The Little Giants (Robbie “The Giant” & Bullet Joe Barreto) when Ricky Smokes pinned Bullet Joe after him Cashew cut into Barreto with a new double team finisher pancaking the former Tag Team Champion.

NOTES OF INTEREST:

As previously noted, Promoter JC Marxxx added Kevin Castro as well as Trigga the OG, JT Dunn, Love, Doug, and Randy Rivera into the Big City Rumble, bringing the total entry to 35 participants in the 2021 Rumble.

BRG entered the match at #1, and lasted over 40 minutes into the match before getting eliminated by The Lumberjake in a huge upset, seemingly ending Gosselin’s evening.

Unfortunately for Steven Lust, he found himself on the outside of the ring for the majority of the match after getting superkicked through the ropes by BRG. Eventually Tim Lennox threw Lust into the ring to eliminate one of Dallas’ charges only to have Lust surprisingly toss Lennox out!

After Kevin Castro accidentally got himself placed into the Rumble Match, following his entry he his under the ring until Shay Cash arrived on scene, leaving an irate Davey Cash to wonder why Castro wasn’t out there to back him up. This brought out Castro’s secret weapon in Frank Champion– further sewing chaos in Camp Castro.

While referees were distracted Ricky Medeiros tried to pull off the heist of the century eliminating his partner Mike Montero from the Rumble only to have Montero sneak back in and eliminate Ricky from the Match.

#35 was scheduled to be Channing Thomas, however footage was showed on screen of BRG and The Big Boys attacking Thomas with Gosselin stealing his number and re-entering the match.
