Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Norwood Lodge of Elks this past Friday for the 2017 Big City Rumble where the NCW Defenders battled The Uprising for control of NCW.
Ring Announcer: Shane Daly
Commentators: Atlee Greene & Derek Simonetti
Referees: Redd Roche & Rob Teutel
Ringside Security: Casey Sebben & Ryan Ward
Ringside Photography: Paul Glantz
Shane Daly interrupted Dallas McCarthy kicking off the night, replacing him as ring announcer for the show. McCarthy was ready to fight Daly, but was surprised to find the returnign Dean “The Beast” Livsley along with The NCW Defenders at ringside to back Shane up. Livsley said that they were short a guy to fight in the Big City Rumble tonight, and welcomed back Davey Loomis to join the NCW Defenders in the Rumble!
– The Abominable CPA defeated “The Selfie-Made Man” Vern Vicallo after botched interference from CrossFit pledge Timmy Thunder, frustrating “The Selfie-Made Man” beyond belief.
– The Aristocrats (“The Native American” Tomahawk & Zachary Pierre Beaulieu) d. The Classic Connection (Buddy Royal & Levi Shapiro) w/ Perry Von Vicious in tag team action. Following the match PVV attacked Tomahawk, allowing The Underground Anarchy to pounce, attacking The Aristocrats and breaking Zach Beaulieu’s leg in the process.
The Anarchy were then joined by Beau Douglas and the rest of The Uprising, furious over Rich Bass’ banning from the building. Douglas promised to win the Big City Rumble for his group, and welcomed High Class Cartel OG and former NCW Tag Team Champion “Mad Dog” Matt Storm out to ringside to join the team for the Rumble.
– NCW New England Champion “The Dan Ram” Danny Ramirez defeated The Maine State Posse’s Alexander Lee to retain the NCW New England Championship.
– Curry Boy d. Todd Harris w/ JP O’Reilly in a huge upset. Harris has still been dealing with animosity toward O’Reilly despite “Royalty” Ruy Batello attempting to recruit the duo for his Royal Court, but when Ruy left ringside to speak to Beau Douglas Harris was distracted enough to allow Curry Boy to roll him up for the win.
– The Turtles in Time (Steve “The Turtle” Weiner & “Insane” Dick Lane) w/ Delilah Hayden d. the NCW Tag Team Champions The Maine State Posse (Aggro and DangerKid) via DQ when The Posse intentionally disqualified themselves to retain the titles. During the chaos a masked person ran into the ring to attack Delilah Hayden, and when Dick Lane attempted to unmask the attacker he was shocked to find it was a girl under the hood. After the girl hit Lane in the… nether regions The MSP continued their assault, breaking the arm of Steve Weiner and attacking security.
– “Foxy” Calvin Campbell d. Frank the Crank in the Ox Baker Memorial Cup Match after Campbell grabbed the Season Cup from outside official Redd Roche, smashing it over Frank repeatedly until the Cup broke into a million pieces.
The new Ox Baker Memorial Cup holder then continued his celebratory win dancing throughout the Norwood Lodge of Elks during all of intermission. “Foxy” continued to dance until he was interrupted by Doc Ozone and the #1 contender Osirus for the NCW Championship Match.
– NCW Heavyweight Champion “Sensational” Scott Levesque defeated Osirus w/ Doc Ozone via Disqualification after nailing Levesque with a low blow. During the match Osirus was seconds away from winning the NCW title after nailing ‘The Final Flash’ on Levesque when “Foxy” Calvin Campbell interfered in the match, preventing Osirus’ victory. In his mounting frustration Osirus prevented Levesque from using the NCW title, and finally snapped hitting him below the belt in front of Redd Roche.
– “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva won the NCW 2017 Big City Rumble after eliminating Alexander Lee to win the match and win the power of Northeast Championship Wrestling through the end of the Season.

BIG CITY RUMBLE NOTES OF INTEREST
– After being offered a sweet deal by Beau Douglas to join The Uprising, “Royalty” Ruy Batello opted to help his former tag team partner and friend Lumberjake in order to protect his own interests. Unfortunately the short lived BLT reunion ended when Ruy attempted to eliminated Jake, only to end up crashing onto an unsuspecting JP O’Reilly.
– Steve “The Turtle” Weiner could not participate in the Rumble Match, which caused Dick Lane to be distracted long enough for Matt Storm to eliminate Lane from the match.
– After eliminating “Mad Dog” The Lumberjake found himself eliminated by surprise entrant Scott Levesque, the NCW Heavyweight Champion. When “The Dan Ram” tried to go after the Champion, Levesque eliminated himself.
– In a surprising move “The Ace” Mike Montero sided with Mike Paiva in his war against The Uprising, looking to ensure Mike Paiva wouldn’t be fired from NCW in the event The Uprising won.
– After getting eliminated by “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, Mike Graca tried to pull Thomas out. When Lumberjake returned to stop Graca Jake inadvertently pulled “RIOT” out of the match.
– Montero attempted to eliminate Paiva, but found himself eliminated by Alexander Lee instead. Paiva then tossed Lee to win the match. Ike the Bite, who had been hiding under the ring for nearly a half hour reemerged only to get tossed by Paiva to officially win the match.
