NORWOOD– The end of the road begins Friday night August 18th Northeast Championship Wrestling returns to the Norwood Lodge of Elks (152 Winslow Avenue) in Norwood, Massachusetts for one of the biggest events in NCW history– the 2017 Big City Rumble!

Doors open at 7pm with a 7:30pm bell time. Tickets are available at theNCW.com/tickets and will also be available at the door the night of the event $10 for adults and $5 for all kids twelve and under.

With an injured President Dean “The Beast” Livsley on the verge of impeachment and Rich Bass and Beau Douglas’ Uprising continuing to decimate the defenders of NCW founder of Northeast Championship Wrestling John Casey made the challenge at Ring of Thrones, putting the power of NCW up for grabs in a winner-take-all Big City Rumble Match, the first time since inception that teams would work against each other toward a common goal.

At the Big City Rumble it will be The NCW Defenders vs. The Uprising, with each team picking twelve individuals to represent their respective group. The NCW Championship Committee, upset with Casey violating orders to hand the company directly over Bass and Douglas, have added that 6 “Wild Card” spots will be put into the match, with no official affiliation between Dean Livsley sympathizers or The Uprising.

August 18th in Norwood the reigning NCW Heavyweight Champion “Sensational” Scott Levesque will have his working boots on when he defends the NCW Championship against the winner of the Ring of Thrones tournament Osirus. The three-time former NCW New England Champion picked up a huge victory over “The Mind Eraser” Mike Graca in the Finals of the RoT tournament last month, and immediately challenged The High Class Cartel’s crown jewel for a title opportunity at the Big City Rumble. With the mad Doctor Ozone neutralizing the potential interference by Rich Bass and company, Osirus may have the best shot at bringing the Ntitle back home to NCW.

The NCW Tag Team Championship will be defended at the Big City Rumble when The Maine State Posse brings their brand of carnage to the front lines, defending their titles against the #1 contenders The Turtles in Time in Norwood. The Posse had actually lost their titles to Mike Paiva and The Lumberjake at Fenway Park, but were returned the belts when Beau Douglas overturned the decision since he was running the event. Aggro and DangerKid have promised not to lose the titles again, putting the pressure on “Insane” Dick Lane and Steve “The Turtle” Weiner even more heading into this high-stakes encounter.
