NORWOOD– On Friday night August 14th NCW continues the 2015 Season when we return to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, Massachusetts (152 Winslow Avenue) for the 2015 Big City Rumble! Doors open at 7:30 with an 8pm start time, tickets will be available at the door $10 for adults and $5 for kids twelve and under.

For the last decade the Big City Rumble Match has been one of the cornerstones of Northeast Championship Wrestling, a homage to the WWE’s Royal Rumble spectacular that will give thirty men the opportunity to compete in the over the top rope battle royal with the winner receiving a Heavyweight Championship Match November 20th at NCW WrestleFest XI. This years Rumble will feature a noteworthy combination of new blood mixed in with the veterans of the NCW rings, with at least five former Big City Rumble winners will be competing August 14th in the 2015 version, including last years co-winners The Lumberjake and Osirus (the reinvigorated GA West). 2010 Big City Rumble winner “Ruthless” Ruy Batello has also thrown his name into the competition, while young up and comers like “The Native American” Tomahawk and “The Selfie-Made Man” Vern Vicallo have their eyes on the ultimate prize.

That ultimate prize, the NCW Heavyweight Championship, will be decided August 14th in a Ladder Match when the reigning yet vexed NCW Champion “RIOT” Kellan Thomas battles the shrewd and conniving Triplelicious, the man who’s held the Championship belt hostage since March. NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley sanctioned this epic, first of its kind match last month at NCW Red, White, & Bruised after Trip and his bodyguard Frank did their best to silence “RIOT” after eliminating his scheduled tag team partner from their match and handcuffed Thomas to the ropes, leading to another senseless assault.

While both The Lumberjake and “Ruthless” Ruy Batello look toward the Big City Rumble Match, they’ll first have to focus on a unique tag team challenge August 14th when Batello joins with corrupt NCW Official TJ Richter to take on The Lumberjake and Senior NCW Official Redd Roche in tag team action. For months Richter had seemingly showed favoritism toward The Underground Anarchy and Batello, only to reveal their alliance in June at NCW Aftermath when Richter officially aligned with The Anarchy. Having had enough of the chicanery and cheating Redd let his emotions get the better of him during the Loser Leaves Town Match at Red, White, & Bruised between “The Showoff” Mike Paiva and “Black Magic” Sean Feeney, laying out Richter with a forearm to the skull. August 14th at the Big City Rumble these four men will collide in the most abnormal setting for two referees and two hated rivals.

Also appearing at the 2015 Big City Rumble will be NCW Tag Team Champions The Loomis Brothers defending the Tag Team Titles against Crossfit, Rob “The Giant” Araujo, “Slamdance” Tim Lennox, The Influence (Mike Montero & Jason Devine), “Sensational” Scott Levesque w/ “High Class” Rich Bass, The Heavy Hitters (Frank Champion & Shay Cash), NCW 2010 Big City Rumble winner Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, and many more!
