Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA this past Friday night for the 2014 Big City Rumble event, headlined by our tenth ever Big City Rumble Match!

– “The Native American Warrior” Tomahawk d. “The Maine Event” Scotty Vegas and Buddy Romano in the Triple Threat Match. Following the match, Romano and Tomahawk shook hands in a show of mutual respect.
– The Underground Anarchy (“Bam” Brandon Behm & “Slamdance” Tim Lennox) w/ Sean Feeney d. Back to the Fuzion (“All Good” Anthony Greene & “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva) to win the NCW Tag Team Championship when Behm nailed a vicious spear on Greene.
– In a surprise return to NCW, former three time Tag Team Champion “Dynamic” Jon Thornhill defeated “Golden Boy” Derek Andrews in a hard fought back and forth match, with Thornhill picking up the win with his patented frog splash.
– The Loomis Brothers d. “Dastardly” Doug Summers & Deputy Commissioner Richard Pacifico w/ Ashley Vox, the Mack Attack, and the duo of “Flamboyant” Kenny Roberts & Christian Casanova to become #1 contenders for the NCW Tag Team Championship. After Summers refused to tag in, the Deputy Commissioner Pacifico received a vicious bicycle kick from David Loomis, giving the brothers another shot at the Tag Team Titles. Following the match Summers and Vox confronted Pacifico for his bout of conscious, leading to “Dastardly” Doug attacking Pacifico and using the ring bell to brutally lay out his onetime associate. Referees and officials had to carry the limp Deputy Commissioner to the back.
– “Simply God’s Best” GA West came to ringside, looking to address the NCW New England Champion Rob “The Giant” Araujo who was wrestling out of state that night. After reviewing the tape from Red, White, & Bruised, West now believes he should be New England Champion after having Giant pinned for the three count. GA then challenged Araujo to a rematch September 5th at NCW FALLOUT this time with no time limits. West then promised to walk out of Norwood the winner of the Big City Rumble.
– NCW Heavyweight Champion “RIOT” Kellan Thomas w/ Kepler d. “The Devils Reject” Brandon Webb to retain the NCW Championship in a tremendous encounter, with the reigning Champion picking up another impressive victory this Season.
– The Lumberjake (#1 entrant) and “Simply God’s Best” GA West (#13 entrant) won the NCW 2014 Big City Rumble after both men came crashing to the floor at the exact same time following a clothesline over the top. The final four in the match were West, Lumberjake, David Loomis, and Dean “The Beast” Livsley leading to the final confrontation between GA and LBJ. NCW officials and refs convened before Senior Official Redd Roche made the final call to award both men the win. NCW Champion Kellan Thomas (who was at ringside watching) gladly accepted the challenge at hand, welcoming both men to wrestle for the Heavyweight Title at WrestleFest X.

Other notes: Both Monster Mack & Trainee #1 (the Mack Attack) pulled themselves from the Big City Rumble Match… Santa Claus made a surprise appearance in Norwood, but was unceremoniously eliminated by Sean Feeney after eliminating Dominic Delano from the match… NCW Commentator Tom Warren shockingly entered himself into the Rumble, however was swiftly eliminated by Lumberjake… “Ruthless” Ruy Batello was entered in at #17 however left the building refusing entry into the Rumble while rival Lumberjake was inside the squared circle waiting… Deputy Commissioner Pacifico was not medically cleared to wrestle by doctors in the back, preventing him from earning his record breaking 8th appearance in a Big City Rumble Match.
