Perhaps the most unconventional stable in NCW history, Turtles in Time was a team forged through battle after Steve “The Turtle” Weiner defeated “Insane” Dick Lane in the longest match in NCW history (over 35 days) at WrestleFest XI forcing Lane to become his tag team partner. The weirdest part is that somehow through it all Dick Lane has seemingly warmed up to his partnership with “The Turtle”.
Their friendship brought Delilah Hayden and Curry Boy into NCW thus a love story between Hayden and Dick that led to their wedding at NCW Total Elimination in 2017. With Steve by his side as his best man all was right with the world, that is until Steve took a turn to the darkside using Lane’s missing gauntlet to destroy the wedding and become THE UNCONTROLLED.
After a year of brutal war between THE UNCONTROLLED and his Uncontrolled Army and The Turtles in Time Dick Lane finally found the courage to save his old friend through love and friendship after first running from the demon then trying to destroy it. At WrestleFest XIV Lane was able to save Steve, but at what cost?
