PRESS RELEASE: NCW Returns to West Warwick, RI Saturday March 2nd

stv12WEST WARWICK- On Saturday night March 2nd Northeast Championship Wrestling’s 2013 wrestling season continues when we return to the Elks Lodge in West Warwick, RI [60 Clyde Street] for our annual winter clash Silence the Violence. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, for sixteen years NCW has presented a unique night of entertainment for fans bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

When NCW returns to West Warwick for the first time this Season, we’ll see the Monarchy [“Royalty” William King & Zachary Pierre Beaulieu] step up to challenge the NCW Tag Team Champions at Silence the Violence, presenting a unique challenge for the champions. King, a former New England Champion who embraced his royal roots after being one of NCW’s most popular competitors, has found a regal ally in Zachary Beaulieu, who truly believes he is above the lower class of West Warwick and New England. The challengers, confident in their capabilities in winning gold will square off against whoever wins the Tag Team Championship Match a week earlier in Norwood, MA at COLLISION COURSE. Whoever the champions are, the Monarchy has promised a victory on March 2nd regardless.

West Warwick will also see the egotistical “Dynamite” Doug Summers return to the Elks Lodge, proud of his deceit and duplicity at the expense of his former tag team partner and best friend Steve “The Turtle” Weiner last November. Weiner, reluctant to show his face in NCW since his attack, has allowed NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley to enlist the help of Warren’s own Rob “The Giant” Araujo to teach Summers a lesson in respect, going one on one with the arrogant former Heavyweight Champion at Silence the Violence.

The NCW New England Champion Kevin Perry will also be in action on March 2nd, when he defends his New England title against three other contenders in a Four Corners Match, Perry’s toughest challenge to date.

ALSO appearing in West Warwick will be the brotherly duo of David & Eddie Loomis, the Lumberjake, “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, NCW 2012 Wrestler of the Year “Simply the Best” GA West, “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva, NCW 2012 Rookie of the Year Anthony Greene,  Pacifico, Big Bully Rezner and many more!

A special raffle will also be taking place at Silence the Violence as Northeast Championship Wrestling will be giving away a pair of tickets to WWE’s Road to WrestleMania, which comes to the Dunkin Donuts Center on Saturday night March 16th. How do you enter the raffle? Just by SHOWING UP to NCW Silence the Violence. One NCW ticket purchased automatically enters you into the raffle for WWE, with additional raffle tickets available to purchase.

The West Warwick Elks Lodge is located at 60 Clyde Street in West Warwick, RI. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:40pm start time for the wrestling action to begin. Tickets are only $10 at the door for adults and only $5 for all kids twelve and under. PRESS RELEASE: NCW’s 2013 Season Kicks Off February 22nd with COLLISION COURSE

collision13_flyerNORWOOD- After a two month absence on Friday night February 22nd Northeast Championship Wrestling kicks off the debut event of our 2013 wrestling season when we return to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA [150 Winslow Avenue] for COLLISION COURSE. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, for sixteen years NCW has presented a unique night of entertainment for fans bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

When the 2013 Season begins on February 22nd we will see the two time NCW Heavyweight Champion “The Juice” JT Dunn defend his title against Brockton’s own Mike Paiva, NCW’s longest reigning champion who lost his coveted New England Championship last November to “The Insider” Kevin Perry. With his own title lost, his best friend and manager fired from the company, and his elite stable Zero Tolerance disbanded, “The Original Showoff” has set his sights on Dunn’s gold, looking to end his title reign before it even gets started.

The Big Lovable Team of Northeast Championship Wrestling will be in action in Norwood when “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello and the Lumberjake defend their NCW Tag Team titles against the maniacally twisted duo of “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger and “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed. While the BLT reigned supreme over the tag team division at the end of last season, Krueger has drawn a line in the sand, promising that 2013 will be his year after a 2012 that saw any ups and downs for him.

In his first title defense since winning the New England Championship at WrestleFest VIII, Kevin Perry will go one on one with former NCW Original Mike McCarthy, the hard hitting rock star who’s determined to dominate the ranks of NCW this season.

Also appearing February 22nd in Norwood will be the 2012 Season Cup Winner Rob “The Giant” Araujo, “The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople, “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, NCW 2012 Rookie of the Year Anthony Greene, “Dynamite” Doug Summers, David & Eddie Loomis, the NCW 2012 Wrestler of the Year “Simply the Best” GA West, “As Seen on TV” Scotty Slade, NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley, and many more!

The Norwood Elks Lodge is located at 150 Winslow Avenue in Norwood, MA directly off Rt. 1A. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:40pm start time for the wrestling action to begin. Tickets are only $10 at the door for adults and only $5 for all kids twelve and under. NCW 2012 Season Award Results

And the winners are…

2012wrestleroftheyear

GA West – 33%

“The Juice” JT Dunn – 32%
“RIOT” Kellan Thomas – 17%
Scotty “By GOD” Vegas – 7%

In the biggest upset of Northeast Championship Wrestling’s 2012 Season Awards, “Simply the Best” GA West narrowly defeated the two time Heavyweight Champion JT Dunn to become the 2012 Wrestler of the Year, edging the champ out by only one percent of the vote. A flood of last minute votes propelled West to 1st place, shaking up the polls and defeating “The Juice”.

While Dunn can say he had the more memorable 2012 winning two Heavyweight titles in the process, “Simply the Best” wrestled a wide variety of competition this past Season, continuing to hone his craft as one of New England’s best wrestlers.

In 3rd place at 17% is the former NCW Tag Team Champion “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, coming off his first year as a singles competitor in NCW after his DUI tag team partner William Thorne moved to Florida in April. Kellan’s 2012 rival Scotty “By GOD” Vegas clawed his way into 4th place despite quitting the company at WrestleFest VII, defying the odds as NCW ushered in a new era of main event competitors.

2012tagteamoftheyear

The BLT – 33%

Destruction Under Impact – 28%
The Super Rad – 8%
The World’s Most Hated Tag Team – 8%

This past year gave way to many of NCW’s best and brightest tag teams breaking up or drifting apart, but 2012 will forever go down as the year of the Big Lovable Team thanks to the uniting of “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello and LumberjakeThe BLT! Coming together at NCW NO FEAR, Batello & Lumberjake immediately captured the hearts of NCW fans AND the vacant Tag Team Championship in short order.

Their only competition in the voting  came from a team no longer together, but still one of NCW’s most ensduring tandems in the 2010 and 2011 Tag Team of the Year, Destruction Under Impact. “RIOT” and William Thorne dominated the tag team ranks in the first half of 2012, until falling to the Unequaled Destroyers at NCW’s 15 year REUNION.

Though “Dynamite” Doug Summers turned his back on longtime friend Steve “The Turtle” Weiner at WrestleFest, the Super Rad still managed to win 8% of the vote more likely due to Steve Weiner’s popularity rather than Doug Summers’ treachery.

Christopher James & Michael Tootsie Esquire won 8% of the vote. Let that sink in for a moment…

2012matchoftheyear

I Quit Match – 24%

GA West vs. David Loomis – 23%
Mike Paiva vs. The Lumberjake – 16%
Scotty Vegas vs. “RIOT” Kellan Thomas – 13%

If one match signifies what NCW was all about in 2012, it was Buddy Romano defending his NCW Heavyweight Championship against “The Juice” JT Dunn in an I Quit Match at WrestleFest VIII. These two bitter rivals spent nearly the entire year at one another’s throat, each encounter building to this final showdown in Norwood, MA.  In the end it wasn’t just Romano putting his NCW title on the line against the former champion, it was Romano putting everything on the line to prove himself as being NCW’s best. Zero Tolerance. JC Marxxx. His place in NCW history. Everything was put on the table when Dunn & Romano collided at WrestleFest, and they did not disappoint. After forcing Romano to tap out to the ‘Lion Tamer’, “The Juice” thanked the fans for supporting him through it all, and signified a brand new world going forward for Northeast Championship Wrestling.

2012rookieoftheyear

Anthony Greene – 63%

“The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed – 14%
Scotty Slade – 13%
Hunter Ward – 6%

At the beginning of each Season, it’s tough to determine who will break out as the next big thing. 2009 was the first year NCW recognized a Rookie of the Year, and since then each rookie has made a significant impact on the NCW landscape. The 2012 Rookie of the Year first arrived in NCW back at the beginning of the 2011 Season. But wait, how does that work? Well that’s because your 2012 Rookie of the Year is NCW referee Anthony Greene, winning in a landslide with 63% of the vote. It wasn’t until July in Foxboro that “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger challenged AG to a wrestling match, furious over his officiating capabilities. Thanks to a timely assist from “The Juice” JT Dunn, Greene upset Krueger and the rest is history. Since the summer AG has trained harder and harder to become a full time wrestler in New England, looking for an opportunity to prove himself as an in-ring competitor. In 2013 he’ll have his chance.

NCW’s 2012 Most Popular

Anthony Greene – 29%

“The Juice” JT Dunn – 21%
“RIOT” Kellan Thomas – 16%
The Lumberjake – 13%

The overwhelming support for underdog Anthony Greene is evident in the 2012 Season Awards, with AG taking the 2012 Most Popular award as well, just surpassing the NCW Heavyweight Champion in the voting.

NCW’s 2012 Most Hated

Christopher James – 28%

“Simply the Best” GA West – 25%
Scotty “By GOD” Vegas – 11%
Zero Tolerance – 9%

Uncle Joe’s favorite wrestler has finally won something! Unfortunately for Christopher James, his victory comes in the form of NCW’s Most Hated Wrestler, a dubious distinction for many of NCW’s most vile rulebreakers.

NCW’s 2012 Holy $#!T Moment

Referee AG wrestles Jack Krueger – 47%

Loomis bicycle kicks his adopted father – 26%
Doug Summers turns on Steve Weiner – 15%
Kevin Perry is a mole against ZT – 9%

2012 was a year of shocking moments, but this year the fans truly believed that “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger coaxing referee Anthony Greene into the ring at SUMMER MELTDOWN was our 2012 Holy $#!T Moment of the Year.

Taking 26% of the vote was David Loomis finally breaking away from his adopted father JC Marxxx, courtesy of a bicycle kick right to the face, while “Dynamite” Doug Summers violent turn on his longtime friend Steve Weiner rocked 15% of the vote.

NCW’s 2012 Best Inanimate Object

“RIOT” Kepler Thomas – 42%

Alex Creed – 15%
Gordon the 2×4 – 14%
“The Portuguese Flotation” Buoy Ratello – 11%

It’s tough to call any of these nominees inanimate, especially when they get the crowd reactions that they do, but 2012 saw Kepler, the wild haired puppet who loves soccer emerge as NCW’s favorite inanimate object of 2012. The trusty mascot of “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, Kepler even competed in the 2012 Big City Rumble before getting eliminated by Scotty “By GOD” Vegas.

NCW’s 2012 Blast from the Past

“Revolution” Chris Venom – 46%

Evan “Hawkeye” Hunter – 14%
“The Celtic” Conner Murphy – 14%
“Jiving” Jimmy Capone – 14%

2012 was a year of special comebacks and surprises, no more so than NCW Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley bringing back “Revolution” Chris Venom to host NCW’s 15 year REUNION, and oversee the epic night of action.

In a three way tie for 2nd place, the returns of former New England Champion Evan “Hawkeye” Hunter, “Celtic” Conner Murphy, & “Jiving” Jimmy Capone prove that you can in fact come home again.

NCW’s 2012 Best Non Wrestling Personality

Doc Ozone – 28%

Santa Claus – 23%
Dan Tanaka – 13%
“Mr. Clean” Mark Quinn – 9%

This year’s Best Non Wrestling Personality Award came down to one grudge match, Santa Claus vs. Doc Ozone. No other nominee came close to touching this back and forth race between these two fantastical myths come to life. In the end it was Doc O taking the win, standing by his 2012 Wrestler of the Year GA West, while Santa returned to the North Pole empty handed.

Until next year of course…

NCW’s Favorite Northeats Championship Wrestling Character

Souffle [Too Shay] – 24%

JT Well Dunn – 14%
“Simply the Best” GA Chicken Breast – 10%
Bready & Gravy Loomis – 10%

From West Philadelphia he was born and raised, but he’s also your favorite Northeats Championship Wrestling character– He’s Souffle!!

Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA for the final event of the 2012 wrestling season this past Friday night, WrestleFest VIII! All three championships were on the line in Norwood as well as the 2012 Season Cup. Detailed results are below.

Venue: Norwood Elks Lodge
Ring Announcer: Shane “Sipowicz” Daly
Referees: Redd Roche, “Mr. Clean” Mark Quinn, & Dean “The Beast” Livsley
Security: John “Ballzilla” Balis
Timekeeper: Atlee Greene
Ringside Photography: Mike Sjolin

– In the night’s opener “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger w/ “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed d. “The REFolution” Anthony Greene with his patented sit-out DDT after Alex Creed assisted in distracting Greene.

Rob the Giant won the NCW 2012 Season Cup, lastly eliminating “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed to win the match. Other participants in this year’s Cup included;

  1. Joey Rage
  2. The Shadow w/ Sean Feeney
  3. T-Phoenix
  4. Christopher James
  5. Too Shay
  6. “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed

“The Hard Rock Hellraiser” Todd Sople d. “Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone via submission with the ‘Whammy Bar’ in a hard hitting back and forth match up. An unsportsmanlike West blindsided Sople following the match, laying out the ‘Rockstar Rassler’.

Eddie Loomis d. David Marxxx-Loomis w/ JC Marxxx with the bicycle kick in a brutal match. Afterward, a dazed David proudly congratulated his younger brother, finally showcasing the intensity needed to be a winner in NCW. Loomis then offered Eddie a partnership, finally ending the sibling rivalry that’s lasted since Eddie’s debut in 2010. JC then offered Eddie membership in Zero Tolerance, only to have David turn his back on his adopted father, putting Marxxx down with his own bicycle kick!

Santa Claus made a special visit to WrestleFest, wishing all the Norwood fans a very special Happy Holidays. Before Santa could pass out some gifts to the NCW fans he was rudely interrupted by Christopher James, who was still upset over losing the 2012 Season Cup. After stomping on Santa’s presents and letting everyone know that Christmas was canceled, a furious Santa delivered a vicious chokeslam on Uncle Joe’s favorite wrestler.

“RIOT” Kellan Thomas w/ Kepler Thomas d. Scotty “By GOD” Vegas after Kepler helped Thomas score the win (Vegas also tried to bring in Buoy Ratello into the match to no avail allowing Kepler to retaliate). Following the match a frustrated and dejected Vegas quit NCW, Norwood, and the entire wrestling business before walking out the front door with a box of pizza.

Kevin Perry w/ Rob the Giant d. “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva in a Lumberjack Match to win the NCW New England Championship, ending Paiva’s three year reign as champion. With Dean “The Beast” Livsley acting a special guest enforcer and the NCW locker room out in support, Perry pinned “The Original Showoff” with a decisive German Suplex.

– NCW  Tag Team Champions the BLT (Ruy Batello & the Lumberjake) d. The Super Rad and Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner to retain the NCW Tag Team Championship after the Lumberjake pinned Doug Summers with the 3C. Following Pacifico & Rezner’s elimination from the match, “Dynamite” Doug attempted to use his trusty wrench to eliminate the BLT after slipping out of the attempted 3C. “The Turtle” would have none of it however, furious that Doug would once again try to use a weapon on their opponents. The distraction would allow Jake to finish off Summers to retain the titles after Steve was knocked into his partner.

– Summers took the microphone following the match and talked about the past year with his tag team partner, and his attempts to become NCW’s first Triple Crown Champion. Eerily calm, Doug then told Steve that he could only look after himself and that Weiner’s services would no longer be needed as he provided a swift kick to the nether regions on “The Turtle”. Doug then used a steel chair on his former partner, and prepared to lay waste to Weiner before Batello & Lumberjake returned to chase Summers off.

– In the Main Event of the evening, “The Juice” JT Dunn defeated Buddy Romano in an I Quit Match to win his second NCW Heavyweight Championship after Romano quit to Dunn’s ‘lion tamer’. This match saw both men beat the holy hell out of each other, brawling all over the Elks Lodge. The match also saw referee Redd Roche get inadvertently knocked out by a wayward JT Dunn elbow, Mike Paiva show up to try and help his Zero Tolerance cohort, and JC Marxxx being forced to watch his man quit while being held back by Commissioner Livsley, and ending JC’s NCW career.

Northeast Championship Wrestling will return for its 2013 wrestling season on Friday night February 22nd when NCW returns to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA for COLLISION COURSE.

NCW WrestleFest VIII Preview

This Friday night Northeast Championship Wrestling returns to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA for the final event of the 2012 wrestling season when NCW presents WrestleFest VIII.

All three major championships will be on the line at WrestleFest, in addition to the 2012 Season Cup Match. While the night’s Main Event will feature Buddy Romano defending the Heavyweight Championship against former Champion “The Juice” JT Dunn in an I Quit Match, the reigning New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva will put his title on the line against “The Insider” Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match.

The Loomis Brothers will collide in another WrestleFest classic, this time with Eddie’s pride on the line as he attempts to prove himself against his older brother David. “RIOT” Kellan Thomas goes against his rival Scotty “By GOD” Vegas in an expected war while the BLT look to retain their Tag Team Titles in their toughest challenge to date.

The Norwood Elks Lodge is located at 150 Winslow Avenue in Norwood, MA directly off of Rt. 1A. Doors open for this event at 7pm with a 7:30pm bell time. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for all kids twelve and under.

On November 30th the careers of Buddy Romano and JT Dunn will collide one final time when both men step into the ring at WrestleFest VIII to battle for the NCW Heavyweight Championship, this time in an I Quit Match. After winning the vacant NCW title in the REUNION Championship Tournament Dunn’s reign as champion lasted of all of a month when JC Marxxx and Zero Tolerance ensured that Romano regained the title by any means necessary in their West Warwick Street Fight at NCW Spring Slam. Since then Buddy has kept a stranglehold on the championship, holding back challenges from “RIOT” Kellan Thomas, Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, and even  his own Zero Tolerance partner David Marxxx-Loomis while ducking “The Juice” at every turn.

Dunn would not be denied however, winning his final championship opportunity at TOTAL ELIMINATION, winning three matches in one night en route to becoming the #1 contender for Romano’s title at WrestleFest. At the Final Countdown in Foxboro, JC Marxxx accepted Dunn’s challenge for the I Quit Match at WrestleFest, truly believing Romano could defeat “The Juice” in Norwood. Confident in his client’s abilities Marxxx then put his own career on the line, placing all his odds on the NCW Heavyweight Champion in Norwood.

1,231. One thousand two hundred and thirty one days. Over three years as the NCW New England Champion. Mike Paiva has had an unprecedented reign as champion, but on November 30th all the running, hiding, cheating, and manipulating could finally come to an end when “The Original Showoff” defends the New England title against “The Insider” Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match with Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley stepping into the ring as the special guest enforcer.

No matter what happens in the end Livsley proved that he was smarter than anyone gave him credit for when he orchestrated Kevin Perry to become a mole inside Zero Tolerance, at the expense of his friends, family, and fans. Working as Mike Paiva’s protege for an entire year, Kevin learned all of Paiva’s tricks without “The Original Showoff” ever realizing his own imminent downfall. When the other foot dropped at TOTAL ELIMINATION, the house of cards that Zero Tolerance had built since their return in 2011, perhaps setting the stage for Mike Paiva’s final night as champion.

While it has been Doug Summers quest to become NCW’s first Triple Crown Champion and win the Tag Team Titles with his best bud Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, the former Heavyweight Champion was crushed to see Ruy Batello & the Lumberjake win the vacant titles at NO FEAR after nearly walking away with the belts himself. Doug’s obsession with becoming Tag Team Champion has seen a decay in his moral compass, willing to take short cuts he avoided in the past while using Steve to his advantage in any way. The team of Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner has seen these two psychopaths struggle to maintain dominance, using bullying and backstabbing to make their mark on the tag team division this Season. At WrestleFest the Big Lovable Team will defend the NCW Tag Team Titles in their toughest challenge yet when “The Portuguese Sensation” & the 2011 Rookie of the Year go up against both The Super Rad AND Pacifico and Rezner.

Since joining NCW in 2005 the amateur standout David Loomis has always lived by one motto. Winning. Aligning himself with his adopted father JC Marxxx, winning two NCW Heavyweight Titles, retiring Dean “The Beast” Livsley from the ring, these are the accomplishments of a winner. And while David has always been at odds with his youngest brother Eddie since Eddie’s debut in 2010, a tinge of family pride deep within David has yearned for Eddie to step up his game and become more than a fan favorite to the NCW faithful.

After being forced into a tag team match with each other at TOTAL ELIMINATION, which saw Eddie fall victim to a Ruy Batello splash, the elder Loomis has become incensed with disappointment, challenging his little brother to fight him one more time or hang up his boots for good. Can he do it? Can he win?

“The Maniacal” Jack Krueger w/ Alex Creed vs. Anthony Greene

When “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger eliminated Cenobite from NCW at the 15 year REUNION, the deranged one believed a new era was dawning upon NCW with him at the top of the mountain. Recruiting “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed to join him, it was “The Juice” JT Dunn and an NCW referee named Anthony Greene that tore it all down for Krueger, sending him back to reality and forcing him to once again face his demons.

After losing a tag team match to Dunn & Greene at NCW FALLOUT, a frustrated Jack Krueger took fate into his own hands once again when he brutally attacked AG with a chair, causing himself to serve out a 30 day suspension. At WrestleFest Krueger looks to regain his lost power when he goes one on one with Greene this Friday night in Norwood.

“RIOT” Kellan Thomas vs. Scotty “By GOD” Vegas

Don’t get between a man and his puppet. After “RIOT” eliminated both himself and Scotty Vegas in 2012 Big City Rumble this past August, a perturbed Vegas took his frustrations out on Kellan’s good “pal” “RIOT” Kepler Thomas, the lovable puppet Thomas brings with him to ringside. Things only intensified when Scotty eliminated “RIOT” from the Total Elimination Finals in Norwood last month, setting the stage for their one on one encounter November 30th at WrestleFest.

“Simply the Best” GA West w/ Doc Ozone vs. Todd Sople

This Season has seen “Simply the Best” GA West struggle to reach the top of the NCW mountain, coming so close but never reaching the breaking point. Since nearly winning the 2012 Big City Rumble West has found himself at a loss, looking for anything to get him back on track and back into title contention. At WrestleFest West will go up against the former NCW Tag Team Champion Todd Sople, another individual who finds himself at a crossroads after his tag team partner Gunar Rowe left the promotion due to injury, forcing Sople to forfeit the Tag Team Titles.

-NCW 2012 Season Cup Match-
“The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed vs. Rob the Giant vs. Christopher James vs. Joey Rage vs. Too Shay

The Season Cup has always been a breakthrough match for many of the young up and comers of Northeast Championship Wrestling to make an impact and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with for the upcoming year. It’s also been a place where some of NCW’s most popular fan favorites have come to stake their claim as NCW’s best of the best. This Friday night in Norwood a mix of both will enter the elimination match with one goal in mind– victory.

PRESS RELEASE: The Finale of NCW’s 2012 Season November 30th in Norwood

NORWOOD- On Friday night November 30th Northeast Championship Wrestling presents our final event of the 2012 wrestling season when we return to the Elks Lodge in Norwood, MA [150 Winslow Avenue] for WrestleFest VIII. Competing in a seasonal format from February through November, NCW presents a unique night of entertainment for fans wherever we go, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic storylines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.

In the night’s highly anticipated Main Event, the two time NCW Heavyweight Champion Michael “Buddy” Romano defends his coveted championship against former champion and current #1 contender “The Juice” JT Dunn in an I Quit Match live in Norwood. These two men began their rivalry back in April when Dunn defeated Romano in the finals of the REUNION Championship Tournament where the vacant Heavyweight Title was on the line. Shortly after Romano regained the title thanks to help from his cronies in Zero Tolerance, keeping a stranglehold on the championship while keeping his distance from an enraged Dunn. At WrestleFest they will settle all their differences under I Quit rules, guaranteeing one man will walk out the Heavyweight Champion while the other is carried out the loser.

November 30th will also see Brockton native and long reigning New England Champion “The Original Showoff” Mike Paiva put up or shut up when he takes on his “protégé” Kevin Perry in a Lumberjack Match with Commissioner Dean “The Beast” Livsley being put in the ring as the special guest referee. For the last year Perry had gone undercover as a mole for “The Beast”, becoming Paiva’s protégé in Zero Tolerance. After three years plus with the championship “The Original Showoff’s” time as champion may be drawing to a close, with the conniving Paiva having nowhere left to hide.

Three of the most prolific tag teams in NCW history will square off in a Triple Threat Match November 30th at WrestleFest when NCW Tag Team Champions the Big Lovable Team of Ruy Batello and the Lumberjake go defend their titles against the Super Rad (“Dynamite” Doug Summers & Steve “The Turtle” Weiner) and the duo of Pacifico & Big Bully Rezner under elimination rules, with only one team left standing when all is said and done.

Also in Norwood we will see “RIOT” Kellan Thomas in action against Maine’s own Scotty “By GOD” Vegas, “The Maniacal” Jack Krueger & “The Twisted Hatter” Alex Creed, “The REFolution” Anthony Greene, Rob “The Giant” Araujo, Eddie Loomis, David Loomis, “Simply the Best” GA West, “The Unequaled One” Todd Sople, and many more!

The Norwood Elks Lodge is located at 150 Winslow Avenue in Norwood, MA directly off Rt. 1A. Doors open at 7pm with a special 7:30pm start time for the wrestling action.
